First Grueling Trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon
This trailer probably isn't for most of you, but there are plenty of fans out there, so let them enjoy it. Summit has debuted the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the sequel to the insanely popular Twilight from just last year. Fueled by the success of the first movie, the studio pushed this into production quickly, so that it would be ready in exactly one year from when that first movie came out. Additionally, director Catherine Hardwicke was replaced by Chris Weitz, which hopefully was a smart decision, although it looks like it's still in good hands so far. If you're interested, check it out below.

Trippy New Batch of Photos from Gerard Butler's Gamer
If you weren't already convinced to see this movie this fall, then maybe these new photos will change your mind. Reader Christopher M sent over a new batch of photos from Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's Gamer starring Gerard Butler. In addition to the plethora of photos found on the official Facebook page, these new photos below give us a better look at Amber Valletta as Angie. There's a whole other world that wasn't even shown in the trailer that's a part of Gamer, it's called Society and it's essentially a real-life version of The Sims. She looks so trippy colorful because that's what her avatar looks like in that game.

Badass First Trailer for the Pang Brothers' Storm Warriors
After the dismal debut of Bangkok Dangerous, the Pang Brothers have returned to China for their next film - The Storm Warriors. This is latest their exploration into martial arts - not that they haven't already featured martial arts in their films, but this is a period epic. For those who have forgotten who the Pang Brothers are, they're a directing team out of Hong Kong who brought us the original The Eye in 2002, The Messengers in 2007, a remake of their own film Bangkok Dangerous in 2008, and a handful of other Chinese features. And if you're hesitant about watching this trailer, don't be, it kicks some serious ass.

District 9 Viral Begins to Spread, But No Major Updates
Earlier today I noticed a post on ComingSoon mentioning that an ad for the District 9 viral had started appearing on bus stop benches, but I didn't think much about. Wen I was out driving today, I passed a few of them, so I decided to stop by one and take a few shots of it (while getting some odd looks). The ad, as you can see below, plays on the non-human segregation idea again, stating that the bus stop is for humans only. And there's the quirky line beneath it that says: "Beware non-human secretions may corrode metal!" The phone number actually connects with the corporation Multi-National United and it links to D-9.com.

Awesome New Photo of The Fallen from Transformers 2!
Yesterday I stopped by BotCon 2009 in Pasedena to geek out on all things Transformers and I picked up Hasbro's toy version of The Fallen, the big, bad villain from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. We haven't really seen much of him yet, but this guy is a badass, I can just feel it, he's got the look and he seems really pissed off, and nothing is going to stop him when he gets to Earth. MTV has the first photo "revealing" The Fallen (even though we posted photos of him back in February) but this time it's an action shot. And for those of you just waiting to hear more about this guy, we've got a few more tidbits on him.

Cameron Says Avatar Won't Be Shown the Same Size Everywhere
Most of you may be wondering "what does that mean?" Well, we'll explain exactly what that means. James Cameron recently appeared at a special showing of The Abyss and Aliens in 70mm back-to-back at a theater in Santa Monica last night. I couldn't attend (as I couldn't get tickets), but a scooper over at Ain't It Cool News did and sent over some details from the Q&A with Cameron. The only interesting thing he revealed was that apparently the 3D presentation of Avatar will be shown in 1.78:1 aspect ratio, while the 2D will be in scope, with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1. It's sort of half of an IMAX conversion (I'll explain below).

Woody Allen's Whatever Works Was Originally Written in the 70's!
At least two of my friends are big fans of Woody Allen (you know who you are) and anytime a new movie comes out, I always call them to hear their thoughts. Hitting theaters soon is Allen's latest, Whatever Works, starring "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Larry David. And if there are fans out there who have been waiting for Allen to get back to his roots, then we've got good news. "Whatever Works is a screenplay that dates so far back it was originally written for Zero Mostel, who died the year Annie Hall came out (1977). Allen updated it very slightly, but make no mistake: This movie is literally vintage Woody Allen."

Tom Hiddleston on Loki and Writer Ashley Miller on Thor
With every passing day, we're getting closer and closer to finally seeing Marvel's live-action Thor movie start production. A few weeks ago, it was announced that British actor Tom Hiddleston had been cast as the villain Loki. An odd choice, but maybe director Kenneth Branagh saw something in him (like Heath Ledger). The UK's Daily Mail newspaper caught up with Hiddleston and got some confirmation from him as well as a few little quotes about what we can expect and some early ideas. In addition to that update, CineFOOLS interviewed Thor screenwriter Ashley Miller, who had the most interesting things to say.

Sound Off: Pixar's UP - What Did You Think?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? Pixar is back again with their 10th feature film - Up. We all know the story, we all know the characters, but is it as incredible as every past Pixar movie? I've heard other friends of mine say that Carl and Russell just haven't captured his interested the way Remy or Wall-E or Sulley or Nemo or Mr. Incredible have previously. But is that just an early misconception? Is Up really one of the best movies of the year? Or just boring kid's entertainment? How does it rank up against other Pixar movies? Sound off below, leave your thoughts, and let us know what you thought of Pixar's Up!

Check This Out: Russian Poster for Shane Acker's 9
We've all seen the trailers, we all know how great this looks, so it's about time we get a poster for Shane Acker's 9! Unfortunately, it's a Russian poster, but I still love the look of it. I love all the vibrant colors of the main characters; I love how the 9 in the middle is made out of ragdoll material; I love how the evil machine with the red eye is creeping out of the middle; I love how the shadow beneath the Russian title turns into 09-09-09 for its release date. It's really just an all-around gorgeous poster, the kind I'd love to have on my wall if this turns out to be as amazing of a movie as we're all hoping (and I'm sure it will be).

Natalie Portman Joins David Gordon Green's Your Highness
Now this is great news! One of my favorite actresses, Natalie Portman, has joined the cast as the female lead in David Gordon Green's Your Highness. As a reminder, for those who may have forgotten, Your Highness is a medieval fantasy comedy starring Danny McBride and James Franco about a pot-smoking prince who is tasked with protecting his kingdom from mythical beasts, but who would really rather just hang out doing bong hits. This news was first announced by HitFix today and later confirmed by Variety. Gordon Green is currently scouting locations and preparing to shoot in Belfast, Ireland starting in July.

Carl Rinsch Confirmed as Director for Fox's Alien Prequel
A few days back, news started to spread across the web that Carl Rinsch, a commercials and music video director for Scott Free Productions, had been hired to take over the Alien franchise for a reboot. It was initially reported as a rumor, but Collider caught up with Tony Scott this weekend and received some official confirmation. "Yes, Carl Rinsch is going to do the prequel to Alien," Scott told them. "I'm excited cause Ridley created the original and Carl Rinsch is one of the family." It's great to hear that Rinsch is confirmed, but it's also interesting to hear him call it a prequel, not a sequel or reboot or remake. How about that?
