Underworld's Kevin Grevioux to Direct The Pale Horsemen

Underworld franchise co-creator Kevin Grevioux (seen above) will finally be making his directing debut with an adaptation of his own comic, The Pale Horsemen. The yet-to-be-published graphic novel is described as a modern day supernatural thriller that revolves around a gang of NSA sponsored hitmen who are forced to work together to uncover who killed their mentor. The book will be published through DarkStorm Studios. Grevioux will write the script himself as well and Larry Meistrich's NEHST Studios will produce. No word on when production is set to start, but I can imagine it'll be sometime later this year.
I'm not particularly a fan of the Underworld franchise, by any means, however I'm curious to see what Grevioux can do with a modern set franchise about hitmen, and not vampires and werewolves (we have enough of those in theaters nowadays anyway). I don't know much about the story, but a quick read of the synopsis on the DarkStorm website makes me fear that we're not going to get anything too unique. I'm also interested in seeing how he's going to stylize this, as I think the dark, gritty style of Underworld was as important to its success as the characters were. We'll definitely keep everyone update on this project.

I've heard a few interviews with him, he's pretty funny, and is definitely into what he does. I liked the Underworld series, it was throwaway but interesting enough.

didnt know he was co-creator, but recognize him as one of the main lycans, good actor id def like to see how his directing comes out, any word on him acting in this as well?

Kevin did a great Job with his participation to the Underworld trilogy i loved the series, and i am looking forward to see his first debut direction of this movie.

Kevin is a very talented guy. Writer, actor and now director! He helped creat the Underworld trilogy and his comics over at Marvel are a pleasure to read. Trust me when I say that Kevin isn't going anywhere any time soon. He's here to stay.

I liked him as an actor, I kinda find Underworld stories to be a little predictable. But hey at this day and age, vampire movies usually are.
