Watch the Opening Scene from Francis Ford Coppola's Tetro

No more than a day after the official trailer for Francis Ford Coppola's Tetro hit, Apple has debuted the entire opening scene, which lasts about three minutes and doesn't show much at all. I'm breaking my rule of featuring a complete clip (for the second time) because, honestly, there's not much that this really shows and it's actually just great to watch. I'm loving cinematographer Mihai Malaimare Jr.'s camera work in this and the black and white adds such more to the feeling as well. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this while I'm out at Cannes. I'm really hoping Coppola will be making his triumphant return with Tetro.

Tetro is both written and directed by profound Academy Award winning filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, of everything from Dementia 13 to all three The Godfather films to Apocalypse Now to Rumble Fish to Bram Stoker's Dracula to John Grisham's The Rainmaker to Youth Without Youth most recently. The film was shot in Argentina last year and is being released independently by Coppola's own American Zoetrope. Tetro is tentatively set to debut in limited theaters in the US starting on June 11th this upcoming summer.

It's drawn my interest, however I am still yet to work out what the general storyline is. Is it a drama, a mystery??

I'm with #1 - it's ridiculous. Still, I hope they put in the rocket launch sequence at the end - in the game that bit was seat-of-your-pants epic.

Just wasted 3:10 of my morning watching 2 minutes of opening credits. The other minute and 10 seconds was of a foreigner walk down the street! Horrible!
