Cannes 2009 Video Blog: Tour of the Palais des Festival!
May 18, 2009
by Alex Billington
I'm back again live from Cannes, this time with a tour of the Palais des Festival, the Cannes headquarters where the famous Grand Théâtre Lumière is located, and where I work out of most of the days in the press room. A few days ago I put up my first video blog featuring a chat with Sperling Reich, and I expect to have another one in the next few days talking about the last few films I've seen. But today I just wanted to show those of you who aren't here, like my friends at other websites, what it's like to be working in Cannes, including how the press boxes work and how crowded the press room always is. Enjoy this latest video!

I'll be back again soon with another video blog update live from the Cannes Film Festival in France in the next few days. The festival lasts until May 24th, which means there are currently 6 more days left to go. My very favorite film of the moment is still Jacques Audiard's Un Prophete, which we just posted a teaser for today. I've also already seen (in the order in which I saw them): Pixar's Up, Francis Ford Coppola's Tetro, Park Chan-wook's Thirst, Jane Campion's Bright Star, Michel Gondry's Thorn in the Heart, Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock, Bong Joon-ho's Mother, Lars von Trier's Antichrist, and Johnny To's Vengeance.

Looks like you left something in that box there Alex.
Also is the press room where you actually see the films or do you go into the theater?
