Sigourney Weaver Also Cast in Greg Mottola's Paul Movie?

Even more casting news for Paul? Just last week it was announced that Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Jane Lynch would all star alongside of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. But now The Playlist is claiming that Sigourney Weaver is joining as well. Well, actually, Weaver's name is mentioned in an article over at the San Diego News Network. Speculation is that Weaver might be playing the "old woman" named Tara, who rescued the alien Paul (being voiced by Seth Rogen) from his ship some 60 years ago. Weaver rounds off one hell of an impressive cast for this comedy, which starts shooting later this month.
As a reminder, Paul is about two British sci-fi enthusiasts who embark on a roadtrip across the US starting at the San Diego Comic-Con. Having enjoyed the delights of the convention, the boys head towards Area 51 to search for UFOs. However, their trip takes a sudden and dramatic turn when they happen upon a crashed government vehicle containing an Alien named Paul. Kristen Wiig will play a young Christian girl who gets accidentally kidnapped by Graham and Clive. Jason Bateman will play "tenacious government operative" Agent Lorenzo Zoi. "This is a comedy about being an alien in America, even if you're not from outer space."
