First Extended TV Spot for Peter Jackson's District 9 Hits

A brand new extended 60-second TV spot for Neill Blomkamp's District 9 has just landed online. Don't expect to too much new footage, but this is a bit of a different cut than the most recent trailer and does feature some very interesting and revealing lines of dialogue (I won't say which ones). If you haven't already heard, District 9 will be showing at Comic-Con on Thursday this week, so expect to hear some early buzz coming from that. Peter Jackson, who produced this, will also be at Comic-Con in support of the movie. So even if you're not going to be San Diego this week, definitely watch this, it's still looks as awesome as before.
Watch the latest full trailer for Neill Blomkamp's District 9:
An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions in Johannesburg, South Africa suddenly find a "kindred spirit" in a government agent from MNU that is exposed to their mysterious biotechnology.
District 9 is both written and directed by first-timer Neill Blomkamp, a South African filmmaker who previously directed the awesome Halo: Arms Race shorts. The screenplay was co-written by Blomkamp and writing partner Terri Tatchell. This project is based on Blomkamp's short film Alive in Joburg, which can be seen online here. Sony will be bringing District 9 to theaters everywhere on August 14th this summer.

I'm thinking this movie is going to be really, really good, I might be wrong. But if i'm right, then i'm gonna be kind of angry that they didn't let Neil shoot the Halo movies, because in my opinion, if he was good enough for Peter Jackson, then he was good enough for Halo. Now, Neils fresh approch will be for District 9 instead of a Halo movie. I'm hoping for the best.

You know how people got all pumped up for Transformers and wet the bed a lot when they saw a picture of a robot. I feel a little like that now, I know I won't be disappointed.

I'm looking forward to it because if it makes money maybe it'll push World War Z out as what it should be, an adult political take on that Horror Zombie genre as District 9 seems to be an adult political take on Alien Sci-Fi.

I'm glad it's rated r also. I dislike who seems to be the main character, his acting feels very weak, it in fact is probably the only things bringing me down. Everything else just looks jaw-dropping.

Yeah I saw a copy my brother sent me. He works in the industry and gets everything before it's released for pre-screening. It's definitely worth a look in the theater.
