Flynn Lives - Tron 2 Viral Kicks Off in San Diego Tonight

Just a few days ago we mysteriously received two tokens for Flynn's Arcade and we followed the start of what promises to be a great viral and ARG for Disney's upcoming Tron 2. Throughout that afternoon on Tuesday, we followed the clues and uncovered the phrase "Flynn Lives" (which seems to be a bigger part of this) and a series of interesting websites: flynnlives.com and homeoftron.com. If you click on the bouncing spider icon at the bottom of the Flynn Lives site, you'll see a countdown. It expires at 9:30PM on Thursday and has now been updated with a meet-up location in San Diego. Looks like something big kicks off tonight!
Here is the location: "Meet us at the cul de sac near the corner of 1st and J when the numbers run out. You'll know who we are." You can map it on Google Maps if you'd like (conveniently it's right outside of my hotel!). If you're in San Diego, we suggest you take part in this, as this could be pretty awesome. Of course, we'll be covering this and updating it often as possible, but considering we're going to be on the ground ourselves, a post on what takes place might not come until later at night. If you're not in San Diego but want to help out, hit up FlynnLives.com and let us know what happens (in the comments below) when the countdown hits 0!

the way things are going in holywierd today I'm surprised a re-boot wasn't done. with that said I believe the original vision of a film is "usually" the best, and I have been a tron fan since childhood. long live Flynn!

This whole deal reeks of 42 entertainment (the same folk who did The Dark Knight viral, and the Halo ARGs.
If those are any indication of what to expect…expect great things.

The website www.flynnlives.com now says:
"UPDATE
THE MEET UP IS TONIGHT. 9:30PM SHARP. AT THE CUL DE SAC NEAR 1st AND J STREETS.
MAP"
When you click on 'MAP', a new link appears of Google Maps with the location.

"It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since Kevin Flynn went missing. In honor of this great digital pioneer, we will be getting together to renew our commitment to find out what happened to him and celebrate his legacy."
