Must Watch: Jason Eisener's Amazing Treevenge Short Film
This is the short film you've all been waiting to see (or I hope)! I first saw Treevenge at Sundance earlier this year in front of the Nazi zombie movie Dead Snow. In retrospect, Treevenge was far superior to Dead Snow, as you're about to see, and is quite possibly one of the greatest horror short films ever made. So what the heck is Treevenge about? Essentially it's about what if all the tress we cut down every year for Christmas finally got revenge on us. Director Jason Eisener deserves some major props for making such an awesome short film and thanks to Twitch you can finally watch the full thing online. Definitely check this short out!

A Day at Zombieland - Sunscreen and Shotguns Required!
It's Day 38. Just one week to go until Ruben Fleischer's horror comedy Zombieland is wrapped - under time and on budget. And today it's time to break shit. Lots of shit. Shit that took the production designers and set decorators weeks to put together. But I'm getting ahead of myself. A while back, the good people at Sony invited FS.net out to Atlanta, Georgia to spend a day on the set of Zombieland. For those of you who haven't already seen the brain-exploding trailer, this is the story of two friends: Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, and Tallahassee, played by Woody Harrelson. So let's venture into Zombieland, shall we?

Complete Look at the Full Cast of Sylvain White's The Losers
If you hadn't already heard, Matrix producer Joel Silver is developing an adaptation of the Vertigo comic series The Losers at Warner Brothers (already due for release next April). Sylvain White, of Stomp the Yard previously, is writing and directing, making this his first foray into big-budget action. With the news today (via THR) that Holt McCallany has joined the cast, I thought it would be as good a time as any to do a full-fledged feature on the film (and its cast), as I haven't written about it that much before today. The best part of this project is the impressive ensemble cast that Sylvain was gathered up, so let's take a closer look.

Kodi Smit-McPhee Might Be Oskar in the 'Let Me In' Remake
In our most recent update on the Let the Right One In remake from Cloverfield director Matt Reeves, which is to be retitled just Let Me In, I ended by saying, "we'll definitely let you know once Reeves finds his Oskar and Eli." Early word coming from Moviehole is that Reeves has found his Oskar - 12-year-old Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee. He is set to break out in the indie thriller The Road and is currently shooting an Aussie comedy titled Love and Mortar. The news comes from an interview in The Herald Sun (which isn't online yet) in which he says that he's up for the role, but the deal isn't done yet, although "it's looking good."

Paramount Picks Up Another Toy Movie: Mattel's Max Steel
Even more movies based on toys? Paramount is teaming up with Joe Roth to pick up Mattel's Max Steel action figure line for a feature film. The toy property revolves around a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after an accident infects his body with nanobots, making him superhuman (as seen above with his trusty robot pal Cytro). The toy was first introduced in 1999 and is a popular animated series as well, although it's much more popular in Latin America, where Max Steel is the region's top action figure. Mattel wants to use this movie as a way to relaunch the toy line in the US and the rest of the world.

Steven Soderbergh is Interested in a Sequel to The Limey?
He may no longer be directing Moneyball, so what is Steven Soderbergh considering doing next? I think he's feeling a bit sore at the moment - his last two big projects, Moneyball and that Cleopatra 3D musical - were both shelved. So why not revisit one of his own classics from 1999? Soderbergh's wife, Jules Asner, was the guest on the latest Adam Corolla Podcast (via SlashFilm) and, as expected, eventually talked a bit about her husband and what he's currently up to. "He wants to do a sequel to The Limey, and Terence Stamp wants to do it. Terence and Michael Keaton." Whoa, really?! This is the first time we've ever heard of this.

Baby Driver Might Be Next for Edgar Wright, Not Ant-Man
Don't get your hopes up about seeing Edgar Wright's Ant-Man movie anytime soon. Wright, who is still shooting Scott Pilgrim vs. the World up in Toronto and skipping Comic-Con this year, told Empire that, "I'd like to make Baby Driver next if possible." Baby Driver is something that Wright wrote himself and isn't based on anything; it's being described as "a wild spin on the action and crime genre which will be set in the US." Wright explains: "I think when I do that one I’d like to go completely silent for once. Probably because it’s not an adaptation or anything, or a sequel to anything else. I’d like to just make it in private, basically."

Get Ready for a Hong Kong Phooey Hybrid CGI Movie
Even more classic cartoons are headed to the big screen. Alcon Entertainment is developing a live-action / CGI hybrid version of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon Hong Kong Phooey and has hired David Goodman to write the screenplay. Goodman was an executive producer on "Family Guy" and "Futurama" and has also written scripts for a Who Is Killing the Great Chefs? remake and Last Blood webcomic adaptation. Hong Kong Phooey is a cartoon series that first aired on ABC Saturday morning in 1974 and features a kung-fu fighting dog and his sidekick cat who fight crime. Not much else is known about this.

Watch This: Ricky Gervais' Cemetery Junction Teaser Trailer
There's no actual footage from the movie in this teaser trailer, but it does feature Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, and Ralph Fiennes (seen above) talking about, well, the movie itself. Cemetery Junction, formerly known as The Men at the Pru, tells the funny, touching and universal story of being trapped in a small town and dreaming of escape. More specifically, it's a 1970s-set comedy centered on three upstart professional men working at an insurance company. Gervais debuted this announcement teaser well in advance of its release, as this is still shooting as we speak. But it's funny and worth watching, so enjoy!

Sound Off: Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno - What Did You Think?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? The wacky Sacha Baron Cohen is back once again after three whole years since introducing us to Borat with yet another crazy character who is out to trick people into believe he's actually real. How does it live up to that last hilarious movie? Is it an improvement over Borat or just more of the same? Does Bruno push the limits as much as it did last time? Is it even funny to watch or is Cohan just annoyingly unbearable? And is the story in this actually any good or just a bland addition to the comedy? Sound off below, leave your thoughts, and let us know what you thought of Bruno!

Check This Out: Rockin' Poster for 'It Might Get Loud' Doc
It Might Get Loud is a "documentary on the electric guitar from the point of view of three significant rock musicians: the Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White." This rad doc first showed up in Toronto last year and is finally looking to hit theaters starting in August. "I've gone through things where I go onstage and the sound guy at sound check comes over and he'll hold the decibel meter and show it to me while we're playing — and it's 127 decibels,” White told Rolling Stone, where this poster debuted today. "That's not good. And I can't even tell. If it's not right there, it feels wimpy, it feels uninspiring." I'm digging this design quite a damn bit!
