Frank Langella Also Joins Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

The cast of Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps continues to grow. Variety reports today that Oscar nominated actor Frank Langella has joined the cast. Interestingly, they also mention that Josh Brolin is still involved, so Langella's role is one we haven't heard of before. Langella will play Lewis Zabel, an old-time broker who mentors Shia LaBeouf's character, a young Wall Street broker. The mentor's fate plays a major part in the film's plot. Michael Douglas is also back. They also don't mention Carey Mulligan at all, which makes me wonder if she's still cast in this? Either way, it's starting to look like a great cast.
Money Never Sleeps is supposed to start shooting this week and will be released in early 2010 from 20th Century Fox. The story in this sequel will span from June 2008 to the federal bailout in September. "We wanted to see some perspective in the same way that the original dealt with insider trading." The script was written by Allan Loeb of Things We Lost in the Fire and 21 previously. At this point, I've heard enough about casting for Wall Street 2, I just want to see it get under way and see some photos of Michael Douglas back in action as Gordon Gekko again. I'll admit that I'm actually pretty excited to see this come together.
