The Wizard of Oz Hits Theaters for One Night in September!

Judy Garland's The Wizard of Oz was first released on August 25th, 1939. For its 70th Anniversary, Warner Brothers has decided to remaster and re-release this timeless classic on Blu-Ray in high definition. In honor of this re-release, NCM Fathom, Warner Home Video and Turner Classic Movies are presenting The Wizard of Oz in theaters for one night only on September 23rd at 7:00PM. Over 440 movie theaters nationwide will be participating and the event will include a special introduction by Robert Osborne, a classic film historian, followed by a behind-the-scenes featurette called "We're Off to See the Wizard."
I actually had the honor of attending a 4K high definition presentation of The Wizard of Oz at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science a few weeks ago. The Wizard of Oz is one of my all-time favorites and I'm always amazed how it still looks and feels modern even though it was made 70 years ago. The new high definition version does look truly brilliant and you will see details you've never seen before. If you're a fan of The Wizard of Oz in the slightest, or know any friends of family members who haven't seen it, this event is unquestionably the way to go. How often do you get to see timeless classics like this on the big screen?

I have a Wizard of Oz collection that people say I should be on talk shows or on the news. The Wizard of Oz is a classic movie!

Did any of you hear about the munchkin suicide? Well, it's is actually visually seen where a man's face shows and you can see for about 3 seconds he's way up in the left hang corner of the original vhs tape copies of about 16 to 20 year ago . He looks back at where the camera is shooting from dress in a monkey outfit without the mask blue then he jumps down and goes below the senic area disappears down below out of seen he did it during a take they used in the film and when it came to evreyones attention they cut it out about 14 years ago you rookies! You are all looking at the birds you dopes!
