Featurette on Scoring F. Gary Gray's Law Abiding Citizen

Thanks to an awesome trailer, I think it's safe to say that Law Abiding Citizen looks like it could be the surprise hit of the fall movie season. Veteran director F. Gary Gray looks to have delivered a riveting action thriller with a great cast and even better story. Much like Jon Favreau, Gray has a growing presence on Twitter, and that's where I found this great little featurette. F. Gary Gray himself shot a little video with composer Brian Tyler to answer a fan's question about how the scoring process works. He's also shot a few other videos about casting and will follow up this one with a look at the actual scoring session soon as well.
An everyday guy (Gerard Butler) decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family's killers free. His target: The district attorney (Jamie Foxx) who orchestrated the entire deal.
Law Abiding Citizen is directed by New York filmmaker F. Gary Gray, of Friday, Set It Off, The Negotiator, A Man Apart, The Italian Job, and Be Cool previously. The screenplay was written by fellow filmmaker Kurt Wimmer, who wrote Sphere, The Thomas Crown Affair, Equilibrium, The Recruit, and Street Kings most recently. Overture Films is bringing Law Abiding Citizen to theaters everywhere on October 16th this fall.

Talk about two movies in one. GB starts off as the caring family man and goes beyond avenging his daughters death to full blown psychotic badddie. Good enough to rent, but not enough to lure us to the theatres, sorry Overture Films.
