Just Like Barbie, Daniel Craig Now Has a Dream House, Too
August 28, 2009
by Ethan Anderton
By now, we're all used to British actor Daniel Craig striking fear into the hearts of terrorists as super spy James Bond. But Variety reports that Craig will soon be the victim of terror in an upcoming Jim Sheridan (of the upcoming film Brothers) directed psychological thriller titled Dream House. The story follows a New York publishing executive who moves his family to a new home in a small New England town. But the housewarming is anything but pleasant when they discover that a grisly murder may have left behind a few haunting residents in the house. Shooting starts January with Universal distributing sometime next year.
While I have a certain amount of confidence in Craig's career choices, the talent behind the camera leaves something to be desired. Sure, Sheridan has received more than a few Oscar noms for his Daniel Day-Lewis collaborations (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father and The Boxer), but his most recent fare was the lackluster Get Rich or Die Tryin' with 50 Cent. On top of that, screenwriter David Loucka hasn't written a widely distributed film since the 1996 basketball comedy Eddie. But if Daniel Craig is interested then I'm at least a little intrigued, especially since this is production house Morgan Creek's first start-up in three years.

I hope Craig's character dies in the first 10 minutes. Right after the black guy dies (always happens). That would make this film AMAZING.
