Nicolas Cage Books 'Hungry Rabbit Jumps' and 'Drive Angry'
September 7, 2009

I'll be the first to admit that Nicolas Cage might actually be making a comeback. I saw Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant earlier today with Cage, and although he was very over the top, he was hilarious (in a good way). He's also got Kick-Ass coming up, which could help him out. THR's Heat Vision blog has announced tonight that Cage has joined the cast of The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, a thriller to be directed by The Bank Job director Roger Donaldson. The script, written by Robert Tannen, centers on a man whose wife is the victim of a brutal crime. He subsequently becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization.
"In the best of the Hitchcockian tradition, we've got a character who's offered the chance for vengeance and he finds himself in over his head," producer Jim Stern said of The Hungry Rabbit Jumps. Tobey Maguire's Maguire Entertainment and Endgame are developing the project, however Maguire will not be starring in it.
Rabbit is scheduled to shoot in January in New Orleans. However, this isn't his only upcoming project. While he's supposedly in The Green Hornet, it was also announced a few weeks back that he would star in a 3D revenge action movie called Drive Angry. Written by Lussier and Todd Farmer, the story centers on a man driven by rage chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway. It's already bringing back memories of Gone in 60 Seconds. He'll shoot that film in April after wrapping up Rabbit.

The Worst "Actor" of all time…..must be the Devil himself. What studio can cast this non-talent is beyond reasoning!!!!!

Has anybody seen "Highwaymen" with James Caviezel? Because the "Drive Angry" movie sounds a lot like the same thing.

People are so mean,
Just because he needs to shave his head dosn't mean he's a bad actor. So what if he made a few bad movies, most actors with an established career have. Everyone forgets the good ones he's done - Leaving Las Vegas,Captain Corellis Mandolin, 8mm, 60 seconds………..and I thought Knowing was really good.
It is possible for him to do a good movie. Albeit some of the choices he's made is poor, but when he chooses a good one, its a good one.
People just abuse him because its popular to do so. No one has a mind of their own anymore.
