The A-Team's Murdock Role Offered to D9's Sharlto Copley?

Sharlto Copley not quite a household name yet? This producer-turned-actor most recently turned out, in my opinion, one of the best, most harrowing performances of the year as Wikus Van De Merwe in District 9. And it looks like his acting career is taking off, and maybe even teaming up - according to BlackFilm, Copley has been offered the role of Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock in the reboot and big screen reimagining of The A-Team. There's no word if Copley has accepted the role, but this seems like a great fit. Admittedly, my knowledge of the mercenary team consisting of Hannibal, Face, Murdock, and B.A. Baracus is limited.
I'm going purely off Copley's performance in District 9 and how I feel that would translate to a supporting role. D9 proved that Copley is not only extremely adept at improv (as most of the scenes with the prawns were off-the-cuff), but is also able to both stand out in a group as well as be a part of an ensemble. As a supporting player, again, Copley seems to be an outstanding addition to a cast that consists of, let's be honest, stars that are right now outshining Copley's. With Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson on screen, a rising star like Copley is just what could round-out what might very well be a bad-ass ensemble action film. So, since I'm not the most A-Team savvy, is Copley a good fit as Murdock from the character perspective?

I don't have a problem with this. I really enjoyed his char on D9. The funny part about him is that I think a lot of people don't like him because he was such a good actor. He actually came off as a real human being in an age and genre where almost ever character is made to be so perfect and impossible.
I like the casting for both BA and for Howling Mad, the only one that throws me off is Liam. I just don't see him as Hannibal.

He is a very good fit. He played an american drill sargeant in a short movie called Hellweek and was very funny. he should do fine

Copley's better than an A-Team remake. He should hold out for a better film.

Copley could also make the "A-Team" flick 10 times better. He has talent.

He should fit really well in this role. Neeson is the only odd duck in this ensemble. He's a phenomenal actor, obviously, but I just can't see him filling the role that George Peppard played to perfection. I hope this movie turns out well, the A-Team was one of my favorite shows during my childhood.
