Official Trailer for Kirk Jones' Dramedy Everybody's Fine

Miramax has debuted the trailer for Kirk Jones' Everybody's Fine online today. The film stars Robert De Niro as well as Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell, and Lucian Maisel (as the youngest kid). Some people were already saying that De Niro has Oscar buzz for this, but after watching the trailer, I definitely don't think so. I don't know why but I'm just tired of these formulaic family dramedies, even if they're from a good filmmaker. This kind of reminds me of Four Christmases, which I did not like last year, but with a twist on the story (obviously). And I expect audiences will flock in droves to see this anyway.

A widower (Robert De Niro) who realizes his only connection to his family was through his wife sets off on a road trip to reunite with each of his grown children: Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell.
Everybody's Fine is both written and directed by English filmmaker Kirk Jones, of Waking Ned Devine and Nanny McPhee previously. This is a remake of a film also called Everybody's Fine (or Stanno Tutti Bene in Italian) directed by Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore, who also directed Cinema Paradiso previously. Miramax is bringing Kirk Jones' Everybody's Fine to theaters starting on December 4th later this year.

if it wasn't for the cheesy narrator, it would be a good trailer.

It looks good, but I'll see it when it comes out on HBO. I wouldn't go see that at a movie theater.

Wow Billington what's the problem with a nice family dramady. Sure it might not have the U.S.S. Enterprise in it, since Star Trek was such a legendary movie, but it looks entertaining enough

Looks good to me! Great cast! And how can you go wrong with two lovely/sexy ladies in Drew n Kate. I'm sure it will have a good heartfelt message at the end.

This film looks to me it will be better than the trailer portrays. They don't all have to be Oscar winners to enjoy. I expect laughs, as well as, welling eyes.

This is looks good. Solid acting from what i can see in the trailer and it doesnt seem to have any cheese otherwise you know the trailer would be highlighting it like it was the entire movie. So i think this is a solid rental. Maybe dollar movie.
