Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans Trailer
October 8, 2009

First Look has debuted an official trailer for Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans today on Yahoo. This trailer is a lot less comedic than the early promo trailer that we ran back in May. And let me tell you, this is actually a great movie. I know that I said I hated it initially, but my mind changed after I saw it in Telluride (read my review), and now I'm a huge supporter. And by the way, those iguanas come from Herzog's crazy mind, he actually just added them for the hell of it, not any real reason (he actually said this during an intro in Telluride). Anyway, check out the trailer below and please see this.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is directed by prolific German filmmaker Werner Herzog, of plenty of films, including Nosferatu the Vampyre, Lessons of Darkness, My Best Fiend, Grizzly Man, Rescue Dawn, and Encounters at the End of the World most recently. The script was written by William Finkelstein, of "Brooklyn South", "NYPD Blue", and L.A. Law: The Movie previously, and is not a remake of Abel Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant from 1992. Bad Lieutenant will be coming to theaters on November 20th.

I think i would have preferred to see Val Kilmer as the Bad Lieutenant.
I saw like 30 minutes of the original and i couldnt finish it. Pretty disgusting stuff.
If any director can even come close to it, it is Werner Herzog. That guy is pretty nutso himself. Love it!!

Herzog chose Cage because of his bad acting.
His bad acting fits this film perfectly. (Its not great acting by cage, its just him acting)
Its genius casting.

It looks pretty good.
It's so hard to take Cage seriously anymore after he's made so many terrible blockbuster films.

I had to stop watching half way through. That is terrible beyond belief. The name itself screams straight-to-video.

I'll give this a chance. I didn't think the original Bad Lieutenant was that great, so maybe this one will be better.

Jeez, what a shithole, even before Katrina.
If there is no "How Do You Suck A Cock" or nun gang-bang then I'm not interested.
Kilmer look's OK though, finally.
