Watch This: Trailer for Carla Gugino's Women in Trouble

Screen Media has debuted the official trailer for Women in Trouble starring the lovely Carla Gugino over on Apple. If you don't know what this is, Women in Trouble is an ensemble film about 10 women and the trouble in their lives. But these aren't ordinary women: they're strippers and call girls. Carla Gugino plays real life porn star Elektra Luxx. She's joined by other beauties including Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adrianne Palicki, Marley Shelton, and Connie Britton, and flanked by a few guys like Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Simon Baker. As sexy as this is, it kind of looks straight-to-DVD quality, but I'm still interested in checking it out.

A day in the life of ten seemingly disparate women: a famous porn star, a flight attendant, a psychiatrist, a masseuse, a bartender, a pair of call girls, etc. All of them with one crucial thing in common: trouble.
Women in Trouble is written and directed by Venezuelan filmmaker Sebastian Gutierrez, of Rise: Blood Hunter and Judas Kiss previously. This first premiered at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this year. Screen Media Films is finally bringing Women in Trouble to very limited theaters starting on November 13th.

I saw this at the Chicago Film Festival this past weekend. Wasn't all that good. There were a couple funny parts, but other than that the humor just seemed forced.

I might see this just because there's a bunch of really fine women in it

Pretty clear this movie was written by a man, for men. Not a whole lot of substance here.
One thing I don't understand though: with all these big names in a movie, are they each only in it for 15 seconds? Because if they had enough money for the actors, how did the video quality come out so crappy?

So many women, and Simon Baker is the most beautiful person in this trailer.

This looks pretty terrible. The cinematography looks like it was shot for a network tv pilot. The dialogue is grating and seems to lack flow. Seems like a movie written for women, with no women in the creative process.

@12 exactly, I don't know why people are saying by men for men." Way too much weeping and self-realizations to be a man movie. Yes, breasts are great, but this movie will not succeed or fail because of them. It will fail because it's tampon drama shit.

I don't know what this is about but it's got a lot of attractive people in it. I Hope it's about something more than just simple girl power.
I'm becoming kind of a big fan of Adrienne Palicki though. I like her on Friday Night Lights, and she's been impressive in the few movies I've seen her in. The cast of that show is starting to make quite a mark in Hollywood.

Connie Britton should have been a big star by now…what a beauty, and fine actress. Carla is fantastic, too! And both "Spin City" alums! Just thought of that!
