Clive Owen & Catherine Keener 'Trust' in David Schwimmer

After leaving behind his past as Ross from NBC's sitcom "Friends," David Schwimmer made a jump behind the camera directing such comedic fare as Run, Fatboy, Run with Simon Pegg and episodes of HBO's series "Little Britain USA." Though his success as a director hasn't been stellar, he's certainly no Uwe Boll. Now Schwimmer has a new task ahead of him as Variety reports that Schwimmer is now taking the leap into darker waters as he will direct Clive Owen (The International) and Catherine Keener (Where the Wild Things Are) in Trust, a dark drama about the damaging effects an online sexual predator has on a family.
Owen and Keener will play the parents of a 14-year-old girl who are shaken to the core when they discover that she has been victimized by an adult who gained her trust posing as a teenager on a chat room. Trust will mark the acting debut of young actress Liana Liberato who will play the traumatized daughter. Filming begins in Michigan next month, and I've got my fingers crossed for a cameo from Dateline's Chris Hansen. This sounds a bit too cheesy with the whole "internet predator" side of things, but the cast is interesting, and I'm still pulling for Schwimmer, in hopes that he learns to become a much better director. Thoughts?

Despite being pretty predictable, I actually enjoyed "Run, Fatboy, Run". I'll make a decision on his new film once a trailer or two is out.

Yea!!! We agree on something. Schwimmer is a great actor and good director as well with 10 episodes of FRIENDS and 2 of Joey. Nothing huge, but it's not like Barrymore.
