Uma Thurman Down for More Kill Bill, Says Ideas Are 'Awesome'

Earlier this month, Quentin Tarantino started proclaiming (once again) that we would be seeing a Kill Bill Vol. 3, this time hinting that it might actually be coming sometime soon (rather than in the distant future). Obviously with Tarantino, we usually can't trust him, but he's probably riding high on the success of Inglourious Basterds, which has gone on to become the highest grossing Tarantino film to date. "The Bride will fight again," he quipped on an Italian talk show a few weeks back. But will she actually fight again? MTV talked with Beatrix Kiddo herself, Uma Thurman, and confirmed that she's definitely down for more.
"Yeah, I think it'd be fun!" Thurman enthusiastically replied when asked if she'd be up for playing Beatrix once again. In terms of actual progress on the script, Uma revealed that, "[Tarantino and I] did chat, we did chat. He has not yet finished the script. I don't even really know if he's really started it, although I got a taste of some of his ideas and they are really good." That's it, really good, come on Uma, spill the beans! "He has started to share with me what he was thinking, and it's awesome." Now that's more like it! So really all we've learned is that he's got ideas for Kill Bill Vol. 3, but no script yet? Or at least that's what it seems like.
Of course Tarantino always has ideas, but it sounds like he's actually talking about them with the star. And if she's on-board, then I'm on-board, because I wouldn't want to see another Kill Bill without The Bride doing what she does best - killing. Now the next question is if Quentin is actually trying to get this made next or if it's one of his many projects that he's got in the works down the line. Hopefully we'll have an answer soon?

I don't think it will be called Kill Bill Vol. 3, especially if he is sticking with the "Dollars Trilogy" idea, the first 2 have a similar title (A fistful of Dollars and For A Few Dollars More) where as the last one (The Good The Bad and The Ugly) seems like it has nothing to do with the others except for the characters.

Again, the only storyline that works is Vivica A. Fox coming after The Bride, and it's just too soon for that. I actually hope this is one instance where QT is talking out of his ass.

@8 - But then they would have to re-cast Bill, at least if it is a sequel they don't have to cover why David Carrdine is not in it.

Why is this considered a "trilogy", not to mention the whole Vol. 3 title… considering he broke up his original movie into two parts because it was to big for 2 hours. I'm hoping for something completely fresh in tone, as Kill Bill is a revenge piece. I'd like it to end with Belatrix dying and her daughter and Copperhead's (Vivica A. Fox) daughter for the climactic fight.

Nice to see Uma is down with ideas, even though she probably wouldn't have said his ideas were bad, but I loved the first two movies, big Tarantino fan as well, hope to see this one come to light

Honestly didn't think much of the Kill Bill movies. Overrated. Just another excuse for Tarantino to put his foot fetish on the big screen.
