Another Great New Trailer for The Men Who Stare at Goats

Overture Films has debuted a second new trailer today (on YouTube) for The Men Who Stare at Goats starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor. Although I didn't like this movie at all (I saw it back at the Toronto Film Festival), I will continue to support it. Overture knows how to cut one hell of a trailer and the first one and this one are both great trailers. But be warned, they're a bit deceptive, as this isn't the all-out comedy you're probably expecting it to be. It's not a terrible movie by any means, Clooney and McGregor actually do a good job, it's just not that funny at all. But that's just my opinion, so check it out and enjoy!

The Men Who Stare at Goats is directed by former actor and producer Grant Heslov, of only the comedy Par 6 previously and some episodes of "Unscripted". The screenplay was written by Peter Straughan, of Sixty Six and How to Lose Friends & Alienate People previously. This is based on Jon Ronson's book of the same name. The film was produced independently and will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Overture Films will be bringing The Men Who Stare at Goats to limited theaters starting on November 6th later this year.

I really don't like any trailer that does the "Holy—–" CUT.
It's all over the place. This trailer and the 500 days of summer are the two examples that are sticking out. maybe im crazy. or whatnot

This looks like a movie thats fun to watch because of the actors and there characters…but I will at most probably chuckle a few time and maybe a laugh a couple. I see what you mean Alex it looks fun and good but not at all funny.

#12, I know exactly what you mean, and I'm glad to hear from someone who noticed the same thing.
This movie has fascinated me since the first trailer came out. I'd like to see it on DVD (I try to save the theater for action movies that can benefit from the larger screen and better audio). That reminds me - I need to check the *cough* DVD releases for In The Loop.

The trailer reminds me of Burn After Reading. It looks hilarious and I can't wait to see it. Then I see it and after I think i didn't really like it but the performances were really good. So now months later I think back and I kinda liked Burn After Reading although I don't know why. It's an enigma.

It has a contrived feeling about it. I didn't like 'Burn after reading' either which seemed overly simple and the humour was so transparent I could see writers on the other side having the munchies.
George Clooney acts like himself in every film, because he doesn't have to pull a Hoffman to get the parts he likes.
Obi Wan McGregor hasn't impressed me since 'Trainspotting' alas, which is a shame as I don't mind him

hahaha, "the silence of the goats.", the whole thing looks brilliant. It has, definitely, a strong Coen vibe. I hope the ending of the movie won't be a Coen-movie-ending, and i'm done!

#14 first off, just because he is a millionaire, doesn't mean he is talented… (Ben Affleck)… second, I'm just saying I wish he could step it up a notch and pull a "Kevin Spacey" or "Russell Crowe" and transform into his character, instead I feel like I watch George Clooney. Just my opinion.
