New Extended TV Trailer for Jason Reitman's Up in the Air

Paramount played this new extended TV trailer for Jason Reitman's Up in the Air during the "Mad Men" season finale yesterday, so you might've already seen it, but if not, here's your chance. It's a short 'n sweet new trailer with most of the footage we've seen before in either of the first two trailers. But since Up in the Air deserves some more love and since this trailer has great quotes from various critics, it's worth featuring anyway. I hope everyone is planning to see this when it hits theaters in December, it's easily one of the best films of the year. And if all goes well, it might end up winning some Oscars, too. Anyway, check it out!

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) is a corporate downsizing expert - someone who fires people for a living - whose cherished life on the road is threatened by young hotshot just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and after he's met the frequent-traveler woman he never thought he'd meet.
Up in the Air is both written and directed by Oscar nominated Canadian filmmaker Jason Reitman, of Thank You for Smoking and Juno previously. This is based on Walter Kirn's novel of the same name first published in 2001. Paramount is bringing Up in the Air to theaters starting on December 4th this year.

I didn't like "oh brother where art thou" at all but I have been watching Clooney since he was on ER and hell I remember watching a few episodes of Rosanne and seeing him on that. Without a doubt this movie looks awesome and I can't wait for it to come out!

from that trailer the movie looks: "meh……worth a watch". not bad but completely forgettable after watching it.
#1, it looks EXACTLY like a romantic comedy.
# 6……..that looked "incredible" to you???? just what was incredible?

This is gonna be a great movie.
Clooney has found a way to make most of his roles appeal to both male and female viewers. Even if it is a romantic comedy, I have seen enough of his work to hesitate calling anything he's done since ER a "chick flick'. Though I am sure that some of the people who frequent this site will complain about lack of tits, explosions and dragons…

Up in the Air Literally

20,000 ft. 'Up in the Air' with 'New Moon's' Anna Kendrick
Posted on Sunday, Nov 15, 2009 By Gregory Ellwood
You gotta hand it to Paramount. Many studios would be afraid to pull off what they accomplished Saturday for their new contender "Up in the Air."
Along with about 50 other journalists, Awards Campaign trekked on a private American Airlines flight from New York to Los Angeles with star and likely Best Supporting Actress nominee Anna Kendrick and Sad Brad Smith, a new music artist whose song "Help Yourself" plays during the closing credits. While most of the press watched the film once we were airborne (I'd had the pleasure of attending the Toronto Film Festival premiere), I spent a few minutes conducting video interviews with both Kendrick and Smith. …

A Paramount-American Airlines Junket, Up In the Air
By Sharon Waxman
Published: November 15, 2009
I'm not sure if it's more remarkable that Paramount Pictures managed to pull off a press junket 30,000 feet in the air, or that American Airlines provided the studio with a 767 jet, gratis, to do so. …
