Must See: Awesome Interactive Trailer Application for Avatar

This is actually pretty damn cool. Fox has launched an interactive trailer for James Cameron's Avatar using some impressive new technology. The "trailer" is a desktop application which you must install that runs using Adobe Air. Head over to avatarmovie.com/air to download it. Not only does it feature the trailer we've all seen before, but it has over 10 new featurettes that pop up at various points in the trailer while you're watching. Sort of like the special features on a Blu-Ray but all before the movie even comes out. Fox is doing some heavy last-minute pushing on Avatar and this is one of the coolest things they've done.
Vulture thinks this interactive trailer app "will change everything." It's getting a lot of buzz around the web for being a pretty unique use of new technology, especially for a movie set in the future. But do you agree?
Avatar is both written and directed by Oscar winning visionary filmmaker James Cameron, of Piranha II, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, and Titanic previously. He has been developing the technology to make this movie for the last 10 years. 20th Century Fox is bringing James Cameron's Avatar to both IMAX and regular theaters in 3D around the world on December 18th.

This movie will not surpass Twilight New Moon's opening weekend box office numbers. Thats right, you hear it here first!
It will fail in JCs and FOXs opening weekend expectations. $80MIL weekend numbers at best.

@#6:you may be right, but remember, his last 3 films never had a huge opening weekend.his films have shown to have some of the strongest legs in the business.t2 just made 31 mill its first weekend and ended up with 200 mill domestically and 500 mill worldwide, and that was way back in 1991.true lies in 1994,just did the same 25 mill opening weekend and 146 mill total.(those 2 films were rated R),and titanic just 28 mill opening weekend and a total of 600 mill.what im trying to say is even if avatar does not have a huge opening weekend will end up making tons of money.well that is just my humble opinion.

I'm getting close to the edge of being overloaded by Avatar hype all around. Overloaded and sick of it.

F U C K AdobeAir.
Worst piece of shit I've ever had on my PC. If the update fails, it won't shut up and bugs the crap out of you until you uninstall that vile demon.

OKay-ish
I still don't like Avatar, seriously can't understand all the hype JUST because it's from a famous director.
