Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris Sharing Too Much Information
If there's one thing that the internet has ruined (and believe me there's much more than one thing) it's the English language. It's absolutely maddening to hear people use phrases like BRB (be right back) and BTW (by the way) which have spawned from instant messaging and invaded everyday verbal conversations. Now we'll get a bigger dose of this abomination to language as Variety reports Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris are set to star in TMI, a romantic comedy that will explore the premise that while honesty is the best policy for a relationship, "too much information" might not be the best thing. How exactly does that work?

Townsend, Stevenson, & Asano Are Thor's Warrior's Three
Marvel's movie about the winged-helmet clad hero Thor is shaping up to be quite an intriguing flick. While I don't particularly have an invested interest in the character himself, I'm mystified by the assembly of talent from Kenneth Branagh directing his first comic book movie to up-and-comer Chris Hemsworth picking up the hammer as Thor and most recently Anthony Hopkins in negotiations to play Thor's father Odin. Now even more intrigue builds as Variety reports that Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson, and Tadanobu Asano (Mongol) will play the Warriors Three, a trio of Asgardian adventurers who fight alongside Thor.

Watch This: Official Trailer for Jeff Bridges Film Crazy Heart
Fox Searchlight has debuted the trailer for Scott Cooper's Crazy Heart starring Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal as well as Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall. This is the indie film that a month ago no one even knew about. Then they screened it for Oscar bloggers, who loved it and proclaimed that Bridges has a shot at winning Oscar, and then Searchlight set it for release on December 11th just in time for the Oscars. Here's the official trailer for the film which, to be quite frank, looks amazing. From this trailer alone, I'd say it looks like Jeff Bridges will win. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm already sold, it looks like the next Wrestler or Once.

Full Alice in Wonderland Triptych Poster Finally Unveiled
Last week, Disney kicked off a small viral with The Mad Hatter on Facebook who was leading us to some "treasure." As we quickly found out, his treasure was a series of three posters for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland that when put together would give us a good look at all the characters from the movie. The complete reveal took a lot longer than Disney expected, and although they didn't even reach their final goal, they just said to hell with it and put out the final poster anyway. So here it is, the complete triptych poster for Alice in Wonderland for your viewing pleasure. Click the photo or head to Flickr to see it in high res.

Pixar's Up Gets a Gorgeous For Your Consideration Ad in Variety
One of the many perks of the awards season are the For Your Consideration ads that studios run at this time of year. Basically, full-page ads are taken out in the trade mags to get Academy voters to consider that movie when they're voting. It's part of the epic political process of getting a movie nominated at the Oscars. While this may seem a bit odd to those not a part of the industry, I like these FYC ads because they're always beautifully designed and they always highlight a great movie. For example, this full-page ad for Pixar's Up (scanned via Awards Daily) is quite gorgeous and shows that Disney really wants this to win Best Picture.

Singer Leona Lewis Behind Avatar's New Title Song 'I See You'
Personally, I think Celine Dion singing "My Avatar Will Go On" would've been a much better choice for a title song, but oh well. A new press release from Atlantic Records, distributor of the soundtrack to James Cameron's much-hyped film Avatar, indicates that Grammy winning pop and R&B singer Leona Lewis will be the voice behind the film's title song "I See You." The rest of the soundtrack is made up of original music composed by James Horner as part of the score. I'm not sure if a movie like Avatar even needs a title song, but then again, Annie Lennox's "Into the West" from Return of the King was quite a success as well.

Check This Out: Teaser Poster for Angelina Jolie's Salt
You've already seen the teaser trailer for Salt, but this is the first teaser poster to hit. JoBlo has debuted the teaser poster for the Phillip Noyce directed action thriller starring Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Zoe Lister Jones. I'm looking forward to this not necessarily because Angelina Jolie is in it, but rather because there's so much mystery to it and the story. "Who is Salt?" is the tagline they're using in this marketing campaign and I like that they're trying to build up as much mystery and intrigue as possible. The face on this also seems off-center and I'm not sure if that's part of the design or what? Anyway, check it out!

Author Jonathan Ames has written in almost every format under the sun from novels to stage plays and memoirs to comics, but recently he made the jump to writing for TV and cinema. Not only is he the creator of the HBO series "Bored to Death" (starring Jason Schwartzman), but an adaptation of one of his novels, The Extra Man, starring John C. Reilly and Paul Dano is already in post-production. The Gothamist reports (via SlashFilm) that Ames is in the midst of adapting another of his novels, Wake Up, Sir! for hopeful production in 2010 and there's interest in a possible film based on his comic strip The Alcoholic as well.

Derek Haas & Michael Brandt Writing Alien Legion Adaptation
Some of the biggest news today surrounds a new project in development at Disney with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. It's an adaptation of an epic comic book from the 1980s called Alien Legion that was basically the French Foreign Legion in outer space. Writers Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, the duo behind 3:10 to Yuma, Wanted, and The A-Team, have been writing the screenplay for Bruckheimer. "Think the Creature Cantina goes to war," said Haas of Alien Legion. The French Foreign Legion recruited all sorts of different people and Alien Legion is just like that, except these recruits come from all kinds of different planets.

Grudge Writer Stephen Susco Newest Writer on Hack/Slash
Take the concept of Showtime's "Dexter", about a serial killer who kills other serial killers, turn him into a seductive vixen, and add a plethora of sex and you've got the comic series Hack/Slash. We first reported on this developing project over a year and a half ago when Justin Marks was set to adapt the series later followed by the announcement that newcomer Frederik Bond would be directing. Now Bloody Disgusting reports that Stephen Susco (of The Grudge 1 and 2) is the newest writer to tackle the adaptation that Relativity Media hopes will turn into a lucrative franchise for fans of both comic books and horror films.

Watch This: First Trailer for Edward Norton's Leaves of Grass
Although I just called this Edward Norton's Leaves of Grass, it's actually Tim Blake Nelson's Leaves of Grass, because Tim Blake Nelson wrote and directed it and even has a starring role in it. This stars Edward Norton in twin roles as two brothers, one an Ivy League philosophy professor, the other a small-time pot grower in Oklahoma. This is just an early promo trailer, since the film still hasn't sold yet, but it gives you a very good feel for the film and what to expect. I saw this up in Toronto (read my review) and really enjoyed it. Norton's accent is great, and as you can see from this trailer, it provides plenty of good humor. Enjoy!

William Friedkin Directing William Peter Blatty's Exorcist Remake?
This news will probably upset anyone who is a die-hard fan of the original, but there may be hope. In a recent interview with Cemetery Dance (via Bloody-Disgusting), The Exorcist author William Peter Blatty clearly revealed that he was writing a remake of The Exorcist and that William Friedkin was going to direct it. The original 1973 Exorcist, based on Blatty's book, was adapted by Blatty himself and directed by Friedkin as well. So if we're to believe what he says, then it means the two are potentially reteaming again for an Exorcist remake or reboot or something along those lines. Read on for the full quote from Blatty.
