James Cameron's Next Sci-Fi Project Will Be Fantastic Voyage
A few days ago there was a bit of online buzz about James Cameron's next sci-fi project, but we were left without an abundance of information. But now we know a bit more, as MTV just caught up with the director on the red carpet at the London premiere of Avatar and Cameron says the plan is to remake the 1966 sci-fi classic Fantastic Voyage in 3-D, but he is only taking on the role of producer. The original film follows a group of scientists who are miniaturized and injected into another scientist's body to remove a blood clot in his brain to save his life and salvage secret information about miniaturization that only he knows. Read on!

J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot Look to 'Let the Great World Spin'
The exploits of Frenchman Philippe Petit, who walked a tightrope between the Twin Towers in 1974, were chronicled in last year's Academy Award winner for Best Documentary, the universally praised James Marsh film Man on Wire. But it looks like the daring stunt of the past will be at the center of a new movie that has garnered interest from J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production banner as THR reports they are working out a rights deal to adapt Colum McCann's novel Let the Great World Spin a story that uses the event as the backdrop to an ensemble cast of characters struggling throughout New York. This could turn out great.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Now With Natalie Portman
You may remember back in February that there was quite the online stir about an altogether revision of a classic Jane Austen work. Of course I'm talking about Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. No sooner was the Internet abuzz than studios were clamoring to snatch the rights to the unique re-telling of the period romance. Since then we've been anxious to see how the project would develop, and now Variety reports Natalie Portman has signed on to star and produce this story of a woman's quest for love and independence amidst the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.

Bryce Dallas Howard Joins the Cast of Clint Eastwood's Hereafter
You may remember just last month through various info channels and deductive logic that we were able to discern a more detailed plot synopsis for Clint Eastwood's next project Hereafter. Now Variety reports that Bryce Dallas Howard (Terminator Salvation), will be joining the project which tells three parallel stories that eventually intersect as they all become affected by tragedy and hardship. Howard joins a cast that already includes Matt Damon, Cecile de France, and Lyndsey Marshal playing a trio of characters who are confronted and deal with unfortuante deaths in their family on very different levels. Read on for more info.

First Look: Your Favorite Toys in New Toy Story 3 Cast Photo
Even though we've already seen a theatrical trailer for this, Disney has debuted a new first look photo for Pixar's Toy Story 3 featuring the entire cast (via Moviefone). It's just about everyone you'd recognize, but there aren't any new characters in it. In fact, it's pretty much the main cast and that's it. I was hoping we'd get to see some of the new toys that they're introducing in this sequel, but I guess not. Despite all that, this is still a really cool first look photo, especially for fans of Pixar or Toy Story. This is definitely going to be one of the highlights of next summer and I can't wait to see the next trailer they release. I love Pixar!

Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in Electric New Iron Man 2 Poster
Over the summer we were given our very first glimpse at Mickey Rourke as the villain Whiplash in Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2, but now Paramount has followed the other recent poster premieres with yet another teaser poster for the highly anticipated sequel featuring the electric whipping antagonist. Combine Rourke's disheveled, unstable prisoner look with a background collage of magazine and newspaper clippings featuring Tony Stark as the heroic Iron Man, and you know Whiplash is going to give Stark a run for his money. Now I guess we'll all be waiting for a poster featuring the sultry redheaded Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

Two Badass Official Posters Revealed for Clash of the Titans
Warner Brothers has finally debut the first two official posters for Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans today on Yahoo. We've already seen some of these before, as a big batch of posters leaked out back in November. However, now we get nice, clean, high res looks at these posters for the Clash of the Titans and I've got to say I'm pretty damn impressed. As a huge fan of the original movie, I've been very nervous about this remake, but these posters are exactly what I wanted to see for a modern day rehash of the epic man vs myth story. Combined with that teaser trailer (that I liked), I've got to say I'm pretty damn excited for this!

Brad Pitt's New Vlad Movie Has No Vampires or Dracula In It!
Just the other day it was announced that Summit had bought the rights to a spec script called Vlad that was about Vlad the Impaler, the person who behind the Dracula myth. Given that relation and the popularity of vampires in Hollywood, the story was sent out as somewhat of a new take on Dracula involving vampires yet again. Apparently that's not actually the case. EW.com spoke with screenwriter Charlie Hunnam (who is also an actor) about his Vlad script and it sounds awesome in its own way, yet different than you're probably expecting. It's much more of a period epic about Vlad and his rule as a prince in the Ottoman Empire.

Watch This: Adam Scott & Brittany Snow in The Vicious Kind
Another indie film potentially lost in the mix. The first official trailer for The Vicious Kind has debuted over on YouTube (via SlashFilm). This stars a bittersweet Adam Scott (the male nurse from Knocked Up), a super sweet Brittany Snow (the hot blonde girl from Hairspray), and a freakin' sweet J.K. Simmons (who plays J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man). You probably haven't ever heard of this, but I suggest checking out the trailer, it doesn't look too bad. It seems kind of like an awkward mix of an indie drama and mumblecore comedy, but that could be a good thing. I think I'll check it out when I get the chance. What about you?

Brandon's Word: Clint Eastwood's Invictus is a Thoughtful Success
Clint Eastwood is of a different time. His style is one of measured calculation and controlled photography. He directs with purpose and poise. He's an actor's director, affording his cast lengthy takes without much manipulation or interference from him behind the camera. At times, he uses this strategy to a fault, thinking himself a one-take director or lingering too long, too often. But more often than not, Eastwood's style is a refreshing taste of what once was. And there's no denying that the man just knows movies. With Invictus, Eastwood's latest directorial venture, all the best of him is present, making it his best work since Letters

In Defense: The Case for Vulture as a Villain in Spider-Man 4
Let's recap first, shall we? Spider-Man 4, which is not even close to filming yet, has been in and out of the news for the past 86 years. It feels that way, at least. We've heard the rumblings and rumors of a multitude of possible villains from The Lizard to Vulture to Morbius to Black Cat. We've heard of a number of different actresses who may or may not have auditioned to play the part of the latter alone. So, when we told you just a few days ago that Anne Hathaway may play Vulturess and John Malkovich is being seriously considered for the role of the villain Vulture, your backlash was, uh, pretty violent. Here are some of the comments.

Francis Lawrence Brought In to Consult on Jonah Hex Reshoots
Even more reshoot news? It's not uncommon for most major movies to do reshoots, it's just something that movie studios can afford to do when they're working on big movies. But it's always distressing to hear about reshoots on a project we're excited about, especially when it comes with some interesting additional details. For example, Bloody-Disgusting is reporting tonight that Jonah Hex is doing some reshoots over the next few weeks. However, Warner Bros has decided to bring on I Am Legend and Constantine director Francis Lawrence to "consult" on the reshoots (as in, to make sure they turn out much better than previously).
