Carrie On, Ladies! First Flashy Poster for Sex and the City 2

Sex and the City 2

Surely everyone enjoys sex, and many people also enjoy cities, but it takes a special kind of person to love Sex and the City. So with the sexual exploits of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda heading back to theaters next summer, the marketing for the sequel has begun as Moviefone has the first obnoxious teaser poster for Sex and the City 2 featuring Sarah Jessica Parker strutting her stuff in the midst of bright glittering lights. The plot is still being kept under tight wraps, but if the poster is any indicator, the film will follow Carrie (Parker) trying to find smaller sunglasses. I mean look at those suckers, they're ginormous!

Cameron Diaz Goes From Charlie's Angel to One Bad Teacher

Cameron Diaz

It's hard to believe that fifteen years have passed since Cameron Diaz first jumped onto the big screen as Tina Carlyle, the premiere singer at the Coco Bongo in 1994's The Mask. Since then she's kicked asses in Charlie's Angels, picked pockets in Gangs of New York, and survived Vegas with Ashton Kutcher (ugh). But in her next role she'll just simply have to rely on her fine, um, assets as Variety reports Diaz will be starring in Bad Teacher, a raunchy comedy about a a foulmouthed, gold-digging middle-school teacher who, after getting dumped by her boyfriend, competes with a colleague for the affections of the school's model teacher.

Disney Adaptation of 'Fallen' Making Angels the New Vampires

Fallen

If Twilight has proven anything, it's that there's apparently nothing more appealing to the female majority than a vampire and werewolf fighting for the heart of a human girl. So naturally, wouldn't these swooning ladies also love to see another girl at the center of a centuries-long battle for affection between two angels? Disney seems to think so as THR reports that the Mouse House has picked up the rights to the recently released young adult novel titled Fallen, the first in a four-part series about an alienated girl torn between two charismatic young men, unaware that they are fallen angels who have battled over her for centuries.

Sure There's Alien vs Predator, But What About Wife vs Ninja?

Ninja

No, it's not April Fool's Day, and no we're not drunk. Believe or not, DreamWorks has purchased Michael Besman's pitch for a new movie called Wife vs Ninja, which centers on a Long Island housewife who discovers that the beautiful young intern who recently stole her scientist husband is actually a bloodthirsty Ninja assassin intent on stealing his work (via Variety). And you thought all the good original ideas were gone! Besman will write the high-concept action-comedy with writers Michael Zam and Jaffe Cohen and we'll just pretend that DreamWorks actually picked up a good idea to add to their upcoming slate instead.

Script is Written & Ready for Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie

Pee-Wee's Playhouse

If you haven't heard yet, Pee-wee Herman, aka Paul Reubens, is mounting a quite a spectacular comeback. He just opened a live production called The Pee-Wee Herman Show in Los Angeles and apparently has other big plans. Although we saw Pee-Wee make his way to the big screen in 1985 in Tim Burton's Pee-wee's Big Adventure (and again in 1988 in Big Top Pee-wee), he's got another movie in the works. In fact, the script is done and it's ready to shoot. Pee-Wee explained to MTV that they decided to make a family-friendly movie based on his classic Saturday morning show, potentially to be called Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie.

Rumor: Might There Be a New Star Wars Film on the Horizon?

Star Wars

It almost always seems like there's a new Star Wars project on the horizon. From the recent computer animated TV series (that honestly, despite its different visual style and feature film misstep, has a tone and execution closer to the original trilogy than the prequels) to a forthcoming live action TV series, I don't think we'll ever be short of Star Wars media. However, when it comes to the feature film side of George Lucas' sci-fi epic, that's really where heads start turning. So listen up, because according to a blog entry (via AICN) by George Lucas collaborator Thomas Dolby, a brand new Star Wars film might actually be in the works.

Check These Out: Three New Ad Banners for The Book of Eli

The Book of Eli

Warner Brothers has debuted three new outdoor banners for The Book of Eli (via IGN). If you live in LA, you'd see these on display at bus stops. They're not really posters, but they kind of are, I guess. Anyway, I'm featuring them not necessarily because they look amazing or anything (though they do look cool), but rather because I've seen The Book of Eli and I wanted to sneak in my thoughts on it. I absolutely loved the movie, it was completely freakin' awesome. The visuals were stunning and the story was fantastic, too. I can't say enough good things about it, I really had a blast watching it. And with that, check out the banners below!

James Cameron is Working on Another Sci-Fi Action Movie?

James Cameron

Yes, I know, there are only 9 days left until James Cameron's Avatar finally hits theaters, so this may be part of the big hype machine, but there could be some truth to it. Late last night, Production Weekly posted a rather interesting Twitter stating simply: "James Cameron is developing a Shane Salerno-scripted sci-fi action script for Fox, described as an 'event' film set in the future." Salerno previously wrote Armageddon, Shaft, and AVP: Requiem and has a lot of other scripts floating around. Could this really be Cameron's next project? Or is it just another project that he's setting up following Avatar? What else does he have lined up?

First Awesome New Poster & Photo Debuted for Tron Legacy!

Tron Legacy

Along with the early test footage for Tron Legacy living up to the hype from Comic-Con the year before, everything being released for this sequel continues to tease to the maximum. We can add some more fuel to this out of control fire now as the UK based site HeyUGuys got a hold of a killer new poster as well as the first official production still from the film featuring Olivia Wilde and Garret Hedlund in our first look at the new light suits. I can't believe that we have to wait a whole year to see this. Hell yes, this is definitely one of my most anticipated films of 2010. Check out high res versions of the new poster and photo below. Enjoy!

Must Watch: Official Trailer for Disney's Sorcerer's Apprentice

The Sorcerer's Apprentice Trailer

Disney has debuted the first official trailer for The Sorcerer's Apprentice on Apple. This new action-adventure movie stars Nicolas Cage as the Sorcerer Balthazar Blake, Jay Baruchel as his Apprentice, Monica Bellucci, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, and Toby Kebbell. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is Disney's other big summer movie in addition to Prince of Persia. I loved Enchanted and I've been crossing my fingers hoping this would have as much Disney magic as that movie did. It definitely looks nothing like that, much darker and intense, but the visuals look amazing. You'll be surprised and I'm pretty frickin' excited to see this now!

The Weekly Moviegoer - Should Cinemas Ban Outside Food?

Outside Food

Did you know that most movie theaters don't ban outside food? It's a common misconception that cinemas have strict rules, but in reality they merely request that you don't bring in outside food and are often fairly lax about it. So, when you think you're "sneaking" some snacks from the outside, you're probably not. You're only doing something you're highly discouraged from doing. But that's the norm in today's society, isn't it?

There are two main reasons why theaters don't completely ban outside food. One, they don't want to alienate customers in general. And two, they don't want to alienate specific customers with special dietary needs.

Rashida Jones Joins the Cast of David Fincher's Social Network

Rashida Jones

Although they're already shooting this, they're not done casting. Variety just has announced that Rashida Jones is the latest to join the young cast of David Fincher's The Social Network, more commonly known as the Facebook movie. They don't reveal what character Jones will be playing, however my guess is that she might be playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend Priscilla Chan (seen in this photo). More on that later. In related news, ComingSoon was notified that The Social Network has been set for release on October 15th, 2010 next year by Sony. I guess it won't take too long to find out who she's playing after all!
