Another New International 500 Days of Summer Trailer

Another new international trailer for 500 Days of Summer has hit but I don't think you should watch it. I'm just saying, for those of you who really want the most pure experience possible seeing this for the first time in theaters in July, don't watch this. It's not that it spoils anything, per se, but instead that at this point, we've just seen way too much from what I believe is one of the best movies of the year. And if you watch this, too, then there won't be any surprising moments left to see in theaters. Beyond that, I agree with Peter Sciretta in that this is selling the movie as a typical romantic comedy, which is exactly what it is not.

When Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer (Zooey Deschanel) dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their time "together" to try to figure out what went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to rediscover his true passions in life.

500 Days of Summer is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Marc Webb, of only a few music videos previously. The screenplay was co-written by first-time writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to a standing ovation. Fox Searchlight is bringing 500 Days of Summer to theaters everywhere starting on July 17th this summer. Don't miss it!

"I think you know what I need"... need this movie to be a big freaking hit, so I don't feel like a tool for liking the trailer so much.

Wow, can we stop doing this story line? The unbelievably attractive 'quirky' girl hooks up with the nerdy white guy by way of pseudo-obscure indie band and changes his life. Thrilling. I just saw a free screening of the movie here in San Francisco yesterday. It's a brilliant movie ! All I can say is that It really is just a story ABOUT LOVE . It really reflected upon my own relationships and made me feel better about them , while also giving me butterfly's in my stomach. It's a movie about the unsureness and resentment of love, while also showing the reality of love and it's opportunities. It really came full circle and sparked something in me. Will probably see it again when it comes out in July, maybe with a new date.
