An Experience - Avatar

As I've mentioned many times, James Cameron is one of my favorite filmmakers, and with Avatar due out in only 3 more months, we're sure to be hearing a lot from him. Empire has debuted a featurette for the video game that includes brief interviews with Cameron and producer Jon Landau. This video shows exactly why I'm so excited for the game, even though I'm not a big gamer anymore, because they were developed so closely together. "You only build one world, and create two ways of enjoying it - simultaneously - separately and in parallel." Anyway, if you're looking forward to Avatar, game or movie, you'll want to check this out!

"Pandora is beautiful and deadly. When you're first introduced, the deadly part is what you see and then as you go deeper the beauty starts to unfold and you realize it's paradise. It's really the Garden of Eden."

Avatar is both written and directed by Oscar winning visionary filmmaker James Cameron, of Piranha II, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, and Titanic previously. He has been developing the technology to make this movie for the last 10 years. 20th Century Fox is bringing James Cameron's Avatar to both IMAX and regular theaters in 3D around the world on December 18th.

I still have got a lot of high hopes for this movie to deliver the good .My hopes even went high when i saw the 15 minutes of avatar preview i was literally blow away by the attention to detail by cameron and i am sure he has done the same thing with the game.No matter whatever online user's will say bad about this movie or trailer there will be still a healthy buzz for this movie and people will watch it for cameron's work .
  • still interested in the movie, but to be honest, without more information I don't understand how this could be different than any other game. Star Wars games are based off of the sound effects and art and whatever from Star Wars, right? I'm just not seeing the breakthrough here.
  • #4 i know...i'm so conflicted.
  • I don't think it's been mentioned here yet, but the Avatar viral marketing campaign has kicked off - http://avtr.com/

Why do you keep saying he directed Piranha 2? He was locked out!!!
  • 3D here to stay
You heard it here FIRST! Average reviews will linger around tthe 70% grade. Guarunteed!!! C- The game wont suck nor will it be great, just OK. UBISOFT was a wrong choice to partner with. Square-Enix or maybe even Capcom should have been the way to go.
