Empire Mag's Badass Iron Man 2 Cover Shot Debuts Online!

Now this is a badass cover shot! Empire has debuted their newest cover containing a never-before-seen shot of Iron Man from Jon Favreau's Iron Man 2. With the trailer on the way, it looks like Paramount may be getting ready to start hyping up the sequel, which is the first movie due out next summer (on May 7th), before this year comes to end. Empire's got a "full Iron Man 2 set report plus behind the scenes photos" in this issue. So if you're not already subscribed, then pick this up when it hits newsstands. As they say: "If you’re not as excited about Stark’s comeback as we are then you’re definitely getting coal in your stocking."

Iron Man 2 takes place only "six months after Stark revealed his identity as Iron Man" at the end of the first movie. Jon Favreau is directing again from a screenplay written by actor-turned-writer Justin Theroux. Iron Man 2 stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, and Don Cheadle as Rhodey. Favreau revealed that the first official trailer would be attached to Sherlock Holmes this Christmas, so be on the lookout for that next month. Paramount is bringing Iron Man 2 to theaters on May 7th next summer.

Is #1's comment really all that bad? I mean it's a tad sarcastic, but incredibly tame compaired to the vast majority of comments on the net. Am I missing something? Was there another, far more offensive, post that was deleted??? The mob mentality that followed was just about as lame as his negative comment toward Alex. Do you people realize that when you attack him like that it's exactly the same as him attacking Alex. You are doing exactly the same thing you're mad at him for doing. There's no difference. That being said, it's a picture of "Iron Man", so yeah. Not a bad pic, but I'm just not excited over it. I can see the same thing on my Blu Ray case.

Haha @ all the people digging on #1. He doesn't think the photo/front cover is all that, as do I. No big deal. Just 'cause Alex thinks it's bad ass doesn't make it so.

Branden is a douche. And he was making another douche bag comment about how Alex likes Avatar... Yet all he seems to ever post about is how much he hates Avatar and that this site talks about it too much, which I find to be vastly more annoying and hypocritical. And to #15 it's not the exact same thing... he gave us a rude comment that we've heard time and time again from him, so the people that actually find this article interesting and Branden annoying reacted towards him with the same negativity. He deserved it.

@Jambi He deserves what, exactly? Your attention? That's what he wants, I'm sure, and that's exactly what you're giving him. Just ignore him. Plus, from what you're telling me it sounds like this Branden character likes to trash on Alex for liking Avatar and some others like to trash on Branden in response to this. Sounds like the "same thing" to me, if not nearly the same. You, first disagree with me, by saying it's "not the exact same thing" then you say that people are just reacting to his negativity "with the same negativity". My point exactly. Who knows, Branden may be a douche, I don't know him, but his attack was directed toward Alex and if it really bothered Alex all that much he would moderate and delete Branden's comments. No use getting all hot and bothered when the person getting attacked doesn't seem incredibly distraught over the incident. Seems silly to me. Just ignore him. It's much more simple and probably more effective than smack talking him into silence.

#24 - You're referring to the toy figures that ended up online? I saw that too... Maybe it's an alternate version he builds in the movie. Obviously they don't want to reveal that right here on the cover, but I'm not sure?

The cover is cool, but I'm wondering what is so different about it from the the original suit. If they're gonna say "NEW SUIT..." , then I think they should show us something different. All the hate getting thrown towards Branden is ridiculous. When we leave comments, they are our opinions. He's entitled to his, just as Alex is to his. Trashing him for asking what Alex liked about the cover is dumb. Alex is completely capable of defending himself. He's been doing this long enough to know how to handle a heckler.

#29 - Marvel fan Marvel is terrible. The majority of their films have been terrible and most of their comics haven't even been worth reading since the 90's. Otherwise, this cover is lame.

Let's not turn this into Marvel Vs. DC... besides they're apples and oranges in my opnion, most of us like them both anyway. I think this "New Suit" is really just a hint at War Machine, isn't it ? BTW I'm totally cool with that if that's the case.
