ET Premieres New Inglourious Basterds Trailer Footage

I really don't like Entertainment Tonight. But sometimes they get good exclusives. And this is one of them. In anticipation of an upcoming new trailer, ET has debuted some footage (not the full trailer) from Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. If you want to stay completely fresh when this actually debuts, then don't watch, as I'm sure it'll be out next week. But otherwise, this is definitely pretty cool. In the first teaser trailer they never showed us any of Christoph Waltz as the Nazi Col. Hans Landa, but now he's in this. And after Cannes, I'd argue that he's now a top contender for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Anyway, enjoy!

During World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "the Basterds" are chosen to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a young French girl named Shosanna who runs a movie theater in Paris that is frequented by soldiers.

Inglourious Basterds is both written and directed by the infamous Quentin Tarantino, of everything from Reservoir Dogs to Pulp Fiction to Kill Bill to Death Proof previously. The Weinstein Company and Universal have partnered to bring us Tarantino's WWII masterpiece in all of its brilliant glory. After first debuting at the Cannes Film Festival, Inglourious Basterds will now hit theaters worldwide on August 21st this year.

Okay. So, I know this movie is going to be pretty good. There is a standard that Quentin delivers in each of his films, IB will be no exception. BUT, my friends and I have 2 rules if we go to see this. 1)The first time Quentin appears in this film, we are out and getting our money back. 2) If Eli Roth smirks more than 4 times or tries to be super cool in any sort of douche bag Hot Topic patron way, we are out and getting our money back. I hate Eli Roth so much. I want him to trip on some rusty scissors and bleed out slowly, whilst listening to Panic at the Disco or some equally horrible band. 4chan is to the internet, as Eli Roth is to the Film Industry.

looks bad ass! # 3 and 4 are both wrong... kinda this trailer shows me they may be making an attempt to kill hitler, it will probably end the same way in real way failure and hitler was never found HITLER WAS NEVER FOUND which means he ALMOST certainly is deceased but also he could have been killed and no one knows it

i don't know about this. just during the trailer alone - i grew sick of brad pitts TERRIBLE "hick" accent. and it looks kinda "pg13" or "made for tv". now, this doesn't make it bad but, i was thinking the movie would have more of an edge to it. oh, well.........i'll probably add it to my queue when it hits netflix.

zach........hitler committed suicide in his bunker. this is common, rudimentary history!! and his remains WERE found by the russians. they said they destroyed the remains..........but, years later the russians acknowledged that they still had the bones. i'm not sure what has become of them today.

Although I highly doubt they would had just killed Hitler (seriously, I'd torture him beyond anything ever done before). However, this is a movie - yeah I doubt they'd get their hands on Hilter but that's not really the point, as far as I can tell, they don't want to end the war, they just want to kill nazis.

#3, and everyone else, has a single person listened to QTs explanation of the Hitler Assassination in Basterds?!?!!?!?!?! According to Tarantino, had the basterds existed in real life, their actions in the film change the results of the war. He isn't going historical he's aiming towards old school hollywood and beyond. Hes doing what a film should do, he realized that made up character in film would always change real events.
