First Look at the Land of the Lost Super Bowl TV Spot!

Another brand new first look at footage from Universal's Land of the Lost has debuted early. Will Ferrell and Danny McBride star together in this prehistoric adventure based on the 1970's TV show. This is supposed to be clearly very cheesy , as that is what the original TV show was like, but honestly, this is starting to remind me a bit too much of Journey to the Center of the Earth, even though it's not in 3D. It could be fun but it's also looking way too stupid. Some people like that kind of comedy, I don't. And it looks like Will Ferrell is just playing himself yet again, which I'm also getting tired of seeing. Thoughts?

Land of the Lost is directed by Brad Silberling, of Casper, City of Angels, Moonlight Mile, Lemony Snicket, and 10 Items or Less previously. "Saturday Night Live" writer Dennis McNicholas and "Entourage" writer Chris Henchy together wrote the screenplay for the film, which is a remake of a 1970's TV show of the same name. Universal's Land of the Lost hits theaters everywhere this summer on June 5th.

NO WAY PEOPLE! This looks COMPLETELY funny!! plus Danny McBride is added into the mix which makes it even more comical. I mean you guys remember him in Pineapple Express along with Franco right? Him and Ferrell can easily carry a hilarious adventure pic, no matter how shity the story is. In my perspective i believe the film has got some potential.

Now im not a fan of ferrell at all but i usually give him the benefit of the doubt when each of his films appear but even i have to admit this looks extremely awful. I hope it does well though as i would hate this to be this years Evan Almighty for Universal.

Why is it that everyone now a days seems to have a bug up their ass? This is just a movie, it's supposed to be entertainment. It's called land of the lost not Oh my god i hope this changes my life! Why should he play this serious? I dont think they made this movie with the Acadamy awards in mind. This is their take on this Story, if you want a different version or your own, get off your ass and do something about it! Its very easy to sit and criticize in front of a computer where its safe.

yeah we complain that ferrell sucks, but somehow we vindicate the same uncreative producers that green-lit Paul Blart, by making it the number one movie out. Ferrell will be doing this schtick until he dies, because people keep paying to see his 40yr old retarded act.

Land of the Lost ... on the big screen ... should be an epic sci fi movie based on the original show - which was one of thee best written sci fi series of all time (even for a kids show) ... what made it so great was the writing - and the heart of the characters ... this just looks like a cash-in on the name ... judging from this teaser, I don't see anything tone-wise that holds to the original - but I could be wrong ... this film should have been epic and starring the original cast!!!

Looks pretty good to me. And, no, I didn't see Journey to the Center of the Earth. Or think about seeing Journey to the Center of Earth. Or think about thinking about seeing Journey of the Center of Earth. Lighten up guys, it looks good.

I think everyone these days jut like indie movies..i know some are good, but remember Hollywood is as big as it is because of the commercial entertaining movies. This movie looks fun. For what I read in these comments you guys only have fun in movies once a year. There is a fad among geeks, that every movie should be dark, moody life changing heartbreaking or whatever. I remember people saying the prequels of starwars not being deep or dark enough, but if you remember the originals weren't either.

Everyone talks about the old series as serious and great.....that's how you remember it as a child. Have you tried to watch shows like Thundercats as an adult? I remember that as awesome....but as an adult, it's ridiculous. Find Land of the Lost episodes online and watch a couple. It's cheesy as hell just like this movie will be.

Center of the earth was ass. This looks like it could actually be funny. I'm sort of disappointed by the fact that every film now has to have giant CGI animals and swarms and shit and that the people doing the effects are apparently BLIND because nothing they make looks even remotely realistic anymore... It's one of the things that drives me fucking insane in the theaters... I pay $10 or more to see a film and half the shit is just obviously CG fake bullshit. Used to be you could go see an effects picture and be blown away. I don't see how anyone is supposed to give a shit about all the giant CG monsters crushing CG buildings and attacking CG people. As time marches on, the effects get worse and worse... aren't they supposed to be getting better?

I think people saying this should be funny and giddy etc like a bunch of idiots don't realize this HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE IDIOTS! This is a remake. Let's see what wiki says about a remake. "A "remake'" is a term used to describe something that has been done again" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remake Considering the original, this will suck! I'd really like to see him act again and not be himself. It's old and tiresome. He can act, he just apparently chooses not to. As much as I love the guy, this is all Kevin Smith's fault. He's the one that planted this idea in Farrell's head by naming his character in J&SBSB 'Marshall Willenholly'. Thanks a lot, tubbo. Another childhood memory dashed by Hollywood's intellectual bankruptcy.

The Land of the Lost series sucked and was only watched by children who were stupid enough to buy into the bad costumes and effects. If your childhood is ruined by watching Ferrell deliver another hilarious performance in spoofing that retarded show, than you probably were ass fucked by your priest or minister.

This is movie looks emazing!!!!!!!! IT WILL BE TENACIOUS!!!!!!!!!! give will ferrell a break he works his ass off to entertain u and u give him shit!!!! he has been in great movies like step brothers, blades of glory, talledega nights, anchor man, elf, old school, semi pro, etc. I didnt like kicking and screaming though. but not every actors movie is good. and besides will ferrell is not a serious guy thats why he is so funny. I saw him on broadway and he is even funnier in person. If u dont think he is funny then u have no sense of humor. My prediction is that this movie will be a Big Flop!!! It will follow in the footsteps of Mike Myers's,"Guru" and be a winner of a "Raspberry Award ".

Look like a good movie?...no. Look like a fun movie to take your kids to?...definitely! There's a big deal in movie making right now with these technologically enhanced "kid's stories" like "Land of the Lost", Comic book movies like "X-Men", "Iron Man", "Hulk", and the new Transformers movie saga. It's great for new generations of kids to be introduced to what we old farts grew up on. And for many of us is super sentimental to see this stuff re-imagined. It's all for fun! I for one will see this, however most likely On Demand or Network television much later on. Gotta' save my bucks right now for the few movies I'm most excited about. But, if i had a bigger disposable income right now, I'd probably go ahead and see it in the theater.

I dont know what it is about Will Ferrell but the guy just makes me laugh.....i think this could be a fun movie and it doesnt take itself serious....lighten up people!!
