Not that I was ever excited for this movie, but MTV has debuted some of the first rough footage from Get Him to the Greek. As a reminder, the movie is a spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall focusing on the character of Aldous Snow as played by British sex-addict Russell Brand. It's written and directed again by Sarah Marshall's Nicholas Stoller and stars one hell of a eclectic comedy casting, including Jonah Hill, Rose Byrne, Elisabeth Moss, Katy Perry, and P. Diddy. We have no context regarding the scene in which we're shown, but it involves a night club in Las Vegas, that's as much as I can tell you. Check it all out below.
I was never excited for this, as I thought Aldous Snow was the worst part of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (and why would we want to see more of him?), but this looks even worse than I was expecting. I'm not sure if you'd call what Jonah Hill is doing "acting," but maybe this just needs a good studio polish before I say any more? Either way, I'm not amused, and I don't like Russell Brand, but I know he's a huge star, so I'll let it be. Get Him to the Greek is about a record company intern (Jonah Hill) who is hired to accompany the "out-of-control British rock star" Aldous Snow to a concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. Thoughts?
