Fame Teaser Trailer

It was only announced last year that MGM was remaking Fame, and now we already have the first teaser trailer. In a society where "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" top the ratings chart and High School Musical can make $90 million in theaters, you have to admit that Fame is a perfect fit, even if it's not your thing. This teaser trailer is short, sweet, and not long enough to be too painful to watch, so I'd suggest it for any of you who are on the edge of being interested in this. Fame was originally a 1980 musical that follows a group of students through their studies at the New York High School of Performing Arts.

A remake of the 1980 musical, which centers on the students of the New York Academy of Performing Arts. The film is split into sections corresponding to auditions, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years.

Fame is directed by former choreographer Kevin Tancharoen, who is making his feature directorial debut after directing TV shows like "Dancelife" and "The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll." The screenplay was written by Allison Burnett, of films like Autumn in New York, Resurrecting the Champ, Feast of Love, and Untraceable previously. MGM is bringing this Fame remake to theaters everywhere on September 25th.

wow. never seen the original movie, but i've heard that song before and that remix is horrible, especially for a show tune...but maybe they won't be going with that version in the actual movie. i get wy they remade this from a business standpoint, but don't most people really really fondly remember the original? they'll be remaking west side story next...

Wow.... The musicals I could remember as a kid were Fame, Rags to Riches, Annie & Little shop of horrors. Prior to HSM there was what?... South park Bigger, better & uncut? Will this be for the "rent" or HSM crowd?

I'm not going to lie...I love dancing movie but I actually don't think this looks good. I'm sure I'll see it anyway but hopefully the future trailers are better otherwise this looks weak.

They're missing out by releasing this movie in September. This would be a huge summer hit, especially this summer with a string of Sci-Fi movies that aren't going to appeal much to certain demographics.

shut up. It's actually about time we brought up some of these musicals for this generation. It had to happen sooner or later. I think this will be amazing. It looks like a great storyline with great actors.
