First Teaser Trailer for MGM's Fame Remake
It was only announced last year that MGM was remaking Fame, and now we already have the first teaser trailer. In a society where "American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" top the ratings chart and High School Musical can make $90 million in theaters, you have to admit that Fame is a perfect fit, even if it's not your thing. This teaser trailer is short, sweet, and not long enough to be too painful to watch, so I'd suggest it for any of you who are on the edge of being interested in this. Fame was originally a 1980 musical that follows a group of students through their studies at the New York High School of Performing Arts.

A remake of the 1980 musical, which centers on the students of the New York Academy of Performing Arts. The film is split into sections corresponding to auditions, freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years.
Fame is directed by former choreographer Kevin Tancharoen, who is making his feature directorial debut after directing TV shows like "Dancelife" and "The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll." The screenplay was written by Allison Burnett, of films like Autumn in New York, Resurrecting the Champ, Feast of Love, and Untraceable previously. MGM is bringing this Fame remake to theaters everywhere on September 25th.
