I think it's time to kick off the work week with some F-bombs, stripper nudity, and Chev Chelios mayhem. The last good action movie to arrive before the summer movie season is Crank: High Voltage, in theaters on April 17th. This TV spot isn't supposed to be seen here in the US, but I really think there's no better way this movie can be represented than with footage like this. Within 30-seconds, they've shown us all the exact reasons why I love the Crank movies: they're crazy over-the-top edgy entertainment, led by an ever crazier character, who fights off even crazier thugs for 90 minutes. It doesn't get any better than that!
Watch this red band TV spot for Crank: High Voltage:
In this high-octane sequel, hitman Chev Chelios launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart.
Crank: High Voltage is both written and directed by visionary filmmakers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the two crazy guys behind Crank and the upcoming Game. The film was produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and is being distributed by Lionsgate. Mark and Brian shot this entirely handheld with consumer and prosumer digital video cameras, which should make for quite an interesting experience. Crank 2: High Voltage arrives in theaters everywhere on April 17th. Get ready for a shock!
