Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Every challenge, every sacrifice, and every moment, comes down to this. Warner Brothers has released a handful of new TV spots for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in hopes of making it the biggest movie of the summer. Depending on how well both Terminator and Transformers do, Harry Potter might have a chance. But besides its box office potential, this actually looks really, really good. It seems like they've really stepped up their game this time, improved the visual effects and CGI a lot, and improved the visual style. Since this is now David Yates' second Harry Potter movie, maybe he's figured everything out?

Watch the first new TV spot for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:

All of the TV spots have been removed at the request of Warner Bros. Sorry!

Any particular favorite TV spot? Is everyone else out there still incredibly excited to see this?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is again directed by British filmmaker David Yates, of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix previously, and is written by Steve Kloves, who also wrote the adaptations of Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire, but did not write Order of the Phoenix. This is the sixth book in J.K. Rowling's immensely popular series. Warner Brothers will debut Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in theaters worldwide on July 15th this summer. We'll be there!

The giant robots will most likely prevail, in the box office.

This is the first HP movie I am -really- looking forward to. Dark and less kiddy oriented, and the cinematography is absolutely beautiful. On a completely different note: WHY IS THERE NO SHERLOCK HOLMES TRAILER UP ON THIS SITE, YET? It looks effing amazing! Or did I really miss it? <..>

Dear #4, this one's actually rated PG, whereas the last two were rated pg-13. so it's hard saying. (I mean, with DARK KNIGHT getting a pg13, maybe that means a pg13 is the new R and a PG is the new pg 13.) But, I do agree with you, the film looks dark and exciting. I hope they manage to keep the tone of the first trailer they released in the film. But, sadly, I don't really see that happening. This was my favorite book but i'm scared. Steve Kloves is an idiot screenwriter to me. But Yates is a man I trust, so hopefully... hopefully....

Thanks for the info and clarification #5 and #8. =)
