Dug the Talking Dog Featurette

I love Dug. Have I told you that? He just hits home with me, he's exactly the kind of dog I used to have, right down to the way he acts and his goofy, but adorable, looks. UGO has posted the latest featurette from Pixar's Up, this time focusing on Dug the talking dog. You've probably seen him plenty of times before in the trailers, so this isn't our first introduction to Dug, however, it's great to see a featurette focusing entirely on him. After premiering at the Cannes Film Festival in a few weeks, Up will hit theaters in US in the last week of May, so don't miss out seeing it in 3D later this month. I can't wait to finally see it myself.

Watch the Inside Up: Dug the Talking Dog featurette:

By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.

Pixar's Up is directed Pete Docter, one of the original Pixar members who directed Monsters, Inc previously and wrote the stories for Toy Story and Toy Story 2. The film is co-directed and written by Bob Peterson, who also wrote Finding Nemo. Disney will debut Up in theaters everywhere on May 29th this summer.

If it wasn't official before, it is now. I am super, freaking excited to see this movie. #1 on my list of movies-to-see-this-summer.

AAHHH! I just can't wait to see this movie!!

I really like that dog. And where else but in a Pixar movie it is not illogical, that a dog is able to talk because his brillant owner owner invented a collar that could actually read the thoughts of that animal... :-) (And is even able to transate them into several languages...)

I have just met you, yet I LOVE YOU!

Frak, I meant of course 'translate' in my last post, and there should be only one 'owner'... Still, nice featurette with new scenes of the up(pun intended)coming movie.

the way that they make the dog move and his mannerisms (his tail wagging before he starts panting) really shows that pixar pays close attention o everything that can be funny and original. definetly going to see this.

I have two things to say. The character 'Dog' is a staight up rip-off from the dog from an episode of Dexter's Laboratory. Secondly, the more I'm seeing of UP the more I think of Indiana Jones.
  • Movieraider321
9, yes the dog is like the dog in Dexter's Lab, however, it's a pixar movie they can get away with ripping it off. And I'm sure it will be slightly different.
#9 The fact is they took something and made it better. Like a comedian taking some ones joke and making it funnier I can't wait to see this...................................

I'm dying to see this movie cuz everytime see something about thismovie I get even more hyped about (up) opening day for sure im there
  • Josh Rowe
I think this film will disappoint me with the old man and dogs as the bad guys but I can't be sure yet. I was hyped up for Wall-e but the last half hour of it bored me because it was just the "don't be lazy and recycle" message and nothing else happened.
