Michael Caine Confirmed for an Appearance in Inception

Just yesterday we announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the latest great actor to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi action film Inception. We still don't know anything about it (any ideas anyone?), but we do now know that Michael Caine will be in it, too. The actor revealed to In Contention that he as a "little part in it." Obviously not enough of a part for them to write up a whole press release for, but he's definitely in it! "Chris and I are very good friends so I'll do that little part. I think I'll work about three days. It'll be extraordinary, wait until you see this one. I think if I say another word he's going to kill me!"

Caine has starred in all three of Chris Nolan's last movies. It'll be great to see him back in this, even if it's just for a few scenes. Knowing that the plot has something to do with grad students and a CEO-type played by Leonardo DiCaprio, maybe Caine will play some sort of wise professor or something? The characters that Nolan writes for Caine are always wonderful - of course we've got Alfred, but I also really loved his character in The Prestige. It's funny to say, but I'm looking forward to Inception purely based on the cast, even without knowing anything about the plot. But that's because Christopher Nolan is a phenomenal filmmaker!

The cast really is amazing, and I really liked The Prestige about as much or more than The Dark Knight, so I'm hyped for this.

When it comes to Chris the plot doesn't matter because he can pull off tough strings,so for now it's just actors and he got a very good collection for the actors in this movie.

F yeah, Nolan is amazing. Inception is my #1 most anticipated movie of 2010 by a big margin.

Must be nice when you can fill small parts in your movie with an actor like Michael Caine! I don't even need the plot, I can't wait to see this!

Hell yes, this movie is going to be amazing!!!!! I think Leanardo has the perfect intensity for a Christopher Nolan film and Cillian Murphy is also terrific and satisfies a balance between the two. I'm expecting some unique, twisting sci-fi yarn Mr. Nolan. Deliver us another puzzle to solve!

Wonderful casting news! Nolan hooks up Caine yet again. Nolan is a master filmmaker, can't wait to see this! I'm w/ #3. This is my most anticipated movie for 2010 as well!

I am also with #s 3 and 10. Inception tops my list for 2010. I can't see any way this film is not going to be amazing. The cast alone is phenomenal and I can't wait to find out what the film is about.
