Must Watch: Full Teaser Trailer for Will Ferrell's Land of the Lost
For all of you who liked the Super Bowl TV spot, here is the full version of the teaser trailer for Land of the Lost. The movie stars Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, and Anna Friel, as well as SNL's Jorma Taccone. Based on the 1970's TV show, Land of the Lost follows the adventures of Park Ranger Rick Marshall, who inadvertently stumbles into a mysterious land populated by dinosaurs and other creatures, including the mysterious race of Sleestaks. This movie looks like it'll just be a bunch of CGI nonsense thrown together with some stupid humor. Personally, I'm not looking forward to it, but I expect it to be a big summer hit.

Land of the Lost is directed by Brad Silberling, of Casper, City of Angels, Moonlight Mile, Lemony Snicket, and 10 Items or Less previously. Universal's Land of the Lost hits theaters everywhere this summer on June 5th.

Still looks like it could be good to me, I just hope Ferrell (and whatever his character's name is) is less of a jerk by the end of the film.

Reminds me of Journey to the center of the earth in 3D. Just that this would be a bit funny.
Dhiram on Feb 6, 2009
Hmm looks like it targeting the youngsters - the dialogue seems like its heavily toned down. Dvd rental at best.

LOL! Matt Lauer can suck it! Now that's funny! Still laughing. And the ending was funny. I'll see it, probably better than Journey To the Center...

This looks extremly middling. I say this will be one of the flops of the summer.

This kind of reminds me of will ferrell's other movie kicking and screaming. the plot is aimed at kids but the content is more adult-like. i think this is Will at his best, and it will definitely kick journey 3d's ass
LeeMan on Feb 6, 2009
I have to disagree it looks funny and a little serious I dont care what you say. It looks like Will's best work in a long time I will see it many boys and teen boys love dinosaurs when i was 5 till i die I will love dinosaur movie movies. Know I dont Know about you Alex Billington But this is 2009 get with the time CGI is getting better if you dont like stop seeing movies or retire or get another job. Oh and the dinosaur in the tralier kind of looed like the t-rex in Jurassic Park. It will not flop!!! GET WITH THE TIMES!!!!!
mattie on Feb 6, 2009
no way this one is going to be flop for one reason......kids! kids are going to want to see this, and so the parents will bring them to go see it. Does it open against anything else? It will make at least its budget back for sure...

If you ask me, Will Ferrell movies are like pizza at 2am. I've had great pizza and good pizza, but there's no such thing as bad pizza at 2am. I'm not holding my breath for this movie 'cuz I don't think it's going to be great, but I'll be it'll be good. Will Ferrell is just plain funny!
