Everybody's Fine Trailer

Miramax has debuted the trailer for Kirk Jones' Everybody's Fine online today. The film stars Robert De Niro as well as Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell, and Lucian Maisel (as the youngest kid). Some people were already saying that De Niro has Oscar buzz for this, but after watching the trailer, I definitely don't think so. I don't know why but I'm just tired of these formulaic family dramedies, even if they're from a good filmmaker. This kind of reminds me of Four Christmases, which I did not like last year, but with a twist on the story (obviously). And I expect audiences will flock in droves to see this anyway.

A widower (Robert De Niro) who realizes his only connection to his family was through his wife sets off on a road trip to reunite with each of his grown children: Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell.

Everybody's Fine is both written and directed by English filmmaker Kirk Jones, of Waking Ned Devine and Nanny McPhee previously. This is a remake of a film also called Everybody's Fine (or Stanno Tutti Bene in Italian) directed by Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore, who also directed Cinema Paradiso previously. Miramax is bringing Kirk Jones' Everybody's Fine to theaters starting on December 4th later this year.

if it wasn't for the cheesy narrator, it would be a good trailer.

It looks good, but I'll see it when it comes out on HBO. I wouldn't go see that at a movie theater.

Wow Billington what's the problem with a nice family dramady. Sure it might not have the U.S.S. Enterprise in it, since Star Trek was such a legendary movie, but it looks entertaining enough

Trailer was lame and cliche', but still... looks like it could be nice

Looks good to me! Great cast! And how can you go wrong with two lovely/sexy ladies in Drew n Kate. I'm sure it will have a good heartfelt message at the end.

Can't wait to see it.

This film looks to me it will be better than the trailer portrays. They don't all have to be Oscar winners to enjoy. I expect laughs, as well as, welling eyes.

Kate Beckinsale is the most beautiful woman on the planet. This is not open for debate. I'm out!

I'm tired of special effects movies so this is something I'm really waiting for

The only redeeming quality of this movie is seeing the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale - be still my beating heart.....

This is looks good. Solid acting from what i can see in the trailer and it doesnt seem to have any cheese otherwise you know the trailer would be highlighting it like it was the entire movie. So i think this is a solid rental. Maybe dollar movie.

El Guapo on Sep 17, 2009

hate to sound cheesy, but i got a smile just watching the trailer- looks great, in the The Family Stone sort of area.

seanathan on Sep 17, 2009

kinda reminds me of "About Schmidt"

lvmnly1 on Sep 17, 2009

what's wrong with this alex? it looks like a nice movie for the holiday season. it sure beats another "transformers" movie or another sly stallone rehash.

this looks like bull shit

DoomCanoe on Sep 17, 2009

I can't imagine a more un-believable group of actors to portray a family. Also, nice to see Bobby phoning in his performance.

robert deniro this looks decent, and i'ma let you finish, but RAGING BULL WAS THE MOST BAAALLER SHIT EVAAAA!!!

Roberto Dinamite on Sep 17, 2009

I think it actually looks pretty decent and realistic. That trailer-announcer's voice and lines were AWFUL though.
