Second Full Trailer for Will Ferrell's Land of the Lost

Universal has debuted the second full length trailer for Land of the Lost, the summer comedy starring Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, Anna Friel, and Jorma Taccone. We've previously seen a Super Bowl TV spot and a full length teaser trailer, which makes this only an extended version of what we've pretty much already watched before. There are some new scenes in this trailer, plenty of them actually, but it doesn't look any better than before. Sorry to say, but I think Land of the Lost looks just plain awful. All of the CGI looks terrible and Ferrell's dialogue isn't even funny at all. Who knows, I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it.

Give this brand new trailer below a shot and please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks it looks terrible?

On his latest expedition, Dr. Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell) is sucked into a space-time vortex alongside his research assistant and a redneck survivalist. In this alternate universe, the trio make friends with a primate named Chaka, their only ally in a world full of dinosaurs, Sleestaks, and other fantastic creatures.

Land of the Lost is directed by Brad Silberling, of Casper, City of Angels, Moonlight Mile, Lemony Snicket, and 10 Items or Less previously. "Saturday Night Live" writer Dennis McNicholas and "Entourage" writer Chris Henchy together wrote the screenplay. This is a feature remake of the 1970's TV show of the same name. Universal's Land of the Lost hits theaters everywhere this summer on June 5th. See you there?

I have a feeling that the smart T-Rex eventually becomes their friend and saves them at a critical moment near the end of the film. I doubt he can save the movie itself, though.

it doesn't look good. but it also doesn't look as bad as Alex is making it out to be. there's no need to be snobby about this movie kids will love it, adults wont, and that's that.

Apparently no one understands what Will Ferrell movies are about. Let me explain so even the simplest of minds can comprehend...they are supposed to be stupid!! It's unbelievable that people think that these Will Ferrell movies are trying to win Oscars or score big at the box office.

Sure the CGI looks a little schlocky but I think that's the point. This trailer actually had me chuckling a little bit... Don't get me wrong, I think this can be placed in a category with Will Farrell's 'Bewitched' but I don't think it will be as bad as everyone is saying. I actually think it might surprise quite a few of you once it comes out.

i really think it is supposed to have a campy 80s feel to the effects. that is the only explanation i can come up with as to why it looks so cheesy.

What do you expect Alex from a Will Ferrell movie. This looks cool as hell. This is apparently based on a televison series from the 70's so I think it is cool that they made it look cheesy. Will Ferrell is the man. If you don't like his films then don't bloody watch them. The same can be said about Adam Sandler. All these bloody critics who don't even like him go and watch his films and then trash them. Get over yourselves and let the people who actually like fine comedians like Ferrell doing what he does best.

I don't get all you negative mo fo's! It's a silly, fun flick. Don't take it so serious. I agree with #16, the CGI isn't supposed to be cutting edge, it will look a little off and that's fine. I do agree that Ferrell can be a bit hit or miss but this looks fine. Will be good flick to relax and have a few laughs too. Nothing you need to think about or take seriously! Hell I'll watch it just to hear him scream out "Mat Lauer can suck it!" No that's funny!

I love Ferrell and McBride hahaha. This movie is gonna be great. That being said I know the CG looks cheap and unrealistic and all the jokes are stupid and pointless.... but thats why Ferrell movies are so great.

Wtf, I am sure I have seen far worse CGI, this didn't look that bad at all. I always liked Will Farrell. I'm all about retarded humor every once in a while. His face alone makes me giggle, he just looks goofy. I'd prefer this kind of movie over an American Pie style "Zomg, I need to get laid, aaaah!" movie anytime. I guess, with Adam Sandler, Will Farrell and Jim Carrey it's always the same. You either love them, or hate them.

i sure hope the do #38. i could watch will farrell and kenny powers all day every day. i was waiting for another will farrell movie. it's been a while. i had to get by on eastbound and down to see danny mcbride and now that's over so its about time he does something else. as for will farrell, step bros is a classic and i definitely agree with #39 too. virgins trying to get laid gets really old really fast.

Sure, there will be a few spots that anyone with a healthy sense of humor will laugh at, but I'm sure that most of the movie will be a complete crap fest. Couldn't we have gotten a serious treatment of Land of the Lost? The only people on earth who even care about a Land of the Lost film are the people who liked the cheesy, but serious, adventure show when we were kids and WE wanted to see a serious, updated version, not another over-the-top Will Ferrell vehicle. And, I even LIKE Will Ferrell. God, I wish someone would remember how to write for him...
