Two New Short 'n Sweet Terminator Salvation TV Spots

Survive. Advance. On May 21st, We Fight Back. A few new TV spots for Terminator Salvation have aired and I've featured two of the better ones below. I think both of these first showed this weekend during the NCAA Final Four games. Warner Brothers has started ramping up their final promotional push, which includes getting this footage out in front of audiences who love basketball, apparently. Neither of these feature any new footage, but they are very well put together. I especially love the second one, that starts out with the softer music, then goes into the Terminator theme we all know and love. Anyway, enjoy!

After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor (Christian Bale) struggle to keep the machines from finishing the job that they began.

Terminator Salvation is directed by McG, of both Charlie's Angels movies and also We Are Marshall previously. The script was written by writing duo John D. Brancato and Michael Ferris, of Into the Sun, The Net, The Game, and Terminator 3 previously. Additionally, Christopher Nolan's brother Jonah Nolan helped rewrite the script before shooting. This marks the awaited return of the Terminator franchise after Terminator 3 hit in 2003. Terminator Salvation arrives in theaters on May 21st this summer.

I love the world they have created. It looks like actual nuclear warfare. They even surpassed Cameron's opening credits of Terminator 2.

Agreed, they are the same. I was able to watch them in sync. Can't wait for the other one though (if there is one)!

I'm quite looking forward to this, some strange design choices on the robots, but still I think it'll be good to watch.

damn these tv spot is freaking awesome Alex whats up with Christian Bale eyes in that pic and in the trailer it looks strange maybe its just the shadow around his eyes but it does look very strange.

I clicked on both of them RIGHT after one another, playing the first one a millisecond before the second one, and they both had the scene of Christian Bale looking to the right with the red flare in hand play at the exact same moment. I really love the way they edited the actual film so far, making the sun so bright it looks like it's actually burning the earth. I can't wait.

Are we going to hear any more of the Terminator theme beyond the opening drum beat? I mean, that opening drum beat is awesome, but I hope the actual theme is in the movie, because without it, it just isn't Terminator.

"Neither of these feature any new footage," I beg to differ, the first featured a shot of the harvester blowing up a truck, and several close ups of Reese and a Terminator we've never seen before, as well as a new shot of the leaping hydrobot that feels like a cool throwback to the alien facehuggers. the 2nd spot featured new close ups of John and Marcus...

THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO ROCK. CAN'T WAIT. I SAW THE PREVIEW FOR THE TERMINATOR SALVATION VIDEO GAME FOR PS3 AND THE FOOTAGE THAT THEY SHOW IN CGI LOOKS INCREDIBLE, HOPEFULLY THE MOVIE EPIC WAR BATTLE LOOKS LIKE THAT OR BETTER.

Looks good. But some of the designs doesnt match the look of the t-800 and the rest of the robots from Camerons two films.

There's nothing new here. A waste of my time. Have already seen the trailers and these are just smaller versions of them. But this film will be awesome come May 21st or should I say June 4th as is the release date here in Australia. Maybe they should release it on the same date. Because that would stop me and others from trying to get copies of it before it's released in cinemas.
