Zac Efron Really Wants to Be in Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch

It's a slow news day, what can I say besides "why not?" Young celebrity couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards last night. We don't care about any gossip, but there is this fun nugget of news that comes from the red carpet. When asked about Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, which stars Hudgens as a supporting character named Blondie, Efron admitted he wants in, too. "I think it's an all-girl movie," he told E! Online. "But if there's any way to be in that film, I'd do it. I'd play a girl if I had to." Obviously he really wants to be in it, but is that because he's just a big Zack Snyder fan?

Before we get back to Efron, here's what Hudgens had to say about Sucker Punch when she got the chance to talk. "I'm so stoked about it," she said. "I kept telling everyone, 'I want to do an action film.' But they were like, 'Maybe in a few years.' So I'm like, 'Ha, in your face. I am doing one now!'" It crossed my mind that Hudgens probably has the script and Efron probably read it. So maybe his interest comes from being a fan of Zack Snyder and thinking it's a great script? Maybe I'm thinking about this too much. Either way, this isn't news, it's just kind of cool to start hyping up Snyder's next movie, even if it is another two years out.

im fine with Efron, he seems like he could be a good actor, but was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got caught up in Highschool Musical.

I agree with #3. I think he has the potential of being a legitimate actor. The whole HSM thing, while pretty laughable, could be his launchpad. Look at all the shit other famous, talented actors/actresses started their careers with (remember Christian Bale in "Newsies"?). Now I'm not comparing Efron to Bale, but I think Zac could possibly succeed with different material and reach a new audience. Hell, he dropped out of that Footloose remake. I'd take that as a good sign.

Zac Efron will ruin this movie... Given I don't ridiculously high hopes of the movie anyway, but... it will be ruined.
