Alice in Wonderland is the Most Anticipated 3D Film of 2010?
The latest MovieTickets.com Weekly Poll (we feature these occasionally) asked ticket buyers which 3D film they're anticipating the most in 2010. MovieTickets claims there are only 14 3D films currently scheduled for this year (although I'm sure that number will go up) and listed the top five results. In the #1 spot is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, which is actually surprising to me because I thought no one like the second trailer. As always, we have to be weary of these polls because it's not a true representation of what the public thinks, but it is interesting to see the results, especially in the wake of Avatar and the rise of 3D.

Must Watch: Early Teaser Trailer for Ryan Reynolds' Buried!
Although I don't want to watch this teaser, I'm posting it anyway. I will be seeing Rodrigo Cortes' Buried at its world premiere at Sundance on Saturday this weekend and don't want it to be ruined by any footage. But since I know everyone else won't be able to see Buried until it comes out in theaters sometime later this year, this trailer is mainly for all of you. I have also read the script and I know why he's recording with a cell phone, but for those who don't know why he's recording this, I'll let the mystery remain. Buried could be a great movie, but it's set entirely in a coffin underground, so who knows? I guess we'll find out in a few days.

Official Poster Unveiled for Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer
Summit has just debuted the official poster for Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer today. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to see the film and I actually really enjoyed it. In fact, I was quoted in USA Today talking about how great it was and my thoughts the situation. It's a great mystery film with a great cast and an incredible story with some riveting twists and turns. And the score by Alexandre Desplat was incredible as well. To reference my own quote from USA Today, "it's very Hitchcockian." This poster looks pretty good, I love Pierce Brosnan on the wall behind him. Watch the first trailer here as well if you haven't seen it yet!

Andy Serkis Replaces David Tennant in Landis' Burke & Hare
Last year we brought you the news that David Tennant would join Simon Pegg in John Landis' upcoming Burke and Hare, the true story of Irish immigrants William Burke and William Hare, who murdered and sold the corpses of their 17 victims to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection. However, thanks to the power of Twitter, we now have word from Pegg himself that unfortunately, "David Tennant had to drop out of [Burke & Hare] but by sheer glorious serendipity a legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island has come aboard. Welcome AS." Of course, that "AS" is the magician of motion capture himself - Andy Serkis!

Disney's Beauty and the Beast 3-D Theatrical Release Delayed
Last March, the attendees of ShoWest, and last July, attendees of Comic-Con, were given quite a surprising treat when Disney's presentation wowed them with a preview of footage from the 3-D re-release of their now classic animated feature Beauty and the Beast. At a time when 3-D wasn't nearly as popular as it has become, Alex found the footage mesmerizing along with others. However, it looks like the release won't be coming our way this February as originally planned as the Disney dedicated site Stitch Kingdom reports it has been pushed back to sometime in 2011. This is quite sad because I was looking forward to seeing it!

Another Great Tron Legacy Yellow Lightcycle Billboard Photo
Back in December, Disney unveiled a huge billboard in Los Angeles that would continue advertising Tron Legacy from then until its release in December of 2010. The photo on the billboard is set to change every single month until December. Before you check out the new image below, be sure to check out the first one. This isn't exactly a big reveal, but it does look awesome. I just love all the imagery for this movie and the way it looks, the colors they use, the contrast, the designs and the light cycles. Everything about Tron Legacy is just plain awesome. So with that said, check out the newest billboard below. Stay tuned for the next one, too.

Matt Reeves Says 'Let Me In' Will Be Darker Than 'Twilight'
Let's face it. Director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) is remaking the spectacular Swedish film Let the Right One, so instead of incessantly griping about it, maybe we should hear him out as MTV talked to him about the difficulties of remaking an established film, the inevitable comparisons to Twilight, and the tone of the impending Let Me In. From the get-go he knows his battle, "There has been a real bull's-eye on the movie, because people had so much love for that [original] film. I share that love, and for me, what was important was to have reverence for the original while at the same time trying to find the way to make it our own."

Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor Get a Badass Official Website
Earlier this week, Peter from SlashFilm mentioned to me that Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor had a brand new official website that is apparently quite badass and definitely worth checking out. I did just that and he's right, it is pretty badass, especially since these guys are crazy and they love going all out (just look at their movies). Not only do they have info and photos on all of their movies (Crank, Crank 2, Gamer, Pathology) but you can also look at some never-before-seen concept art from their version of Jonah Hex and also buy old drafts of scripts and posters and so much more. Even if you're not fans, check it out.

Andrea Arnold Taking on Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights
I don't think enough people have seen Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank yet, which is a shame because it's such a great film. But as always, before anyone gets to see a great director's current film, we start talking about what that director is doing next. Variety reports that Andrea Arnold has signed on to direct Ecosse Films' adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel Wuthering Heights. This adaptation has been in development for a while, but none of the rumored actresses (Natalie Portman, Abbie Cornish, Gemma Arterton) are still attached to this version. But with Arnold on board, Ecosse is hoping to go into production on this by spring.

D.J. Caruso Directing DreamWorks' 'I Am Number Four' Movie
Yet another new project for D.J. Caruso. THR announced that Caruso will direct DreamWorks' adaptation of the upcoming young-adult science fiction book I Am Number Four. You may remember hearing about this last year, as we reported on it when it was first announced (at which time Michael Bay was potentially going to direct this). The story in I Am Number Four revolves around a group of nine aliens who escaped their home planet just before it was annihilated by a rival species. Hiding out on Earth, the title character disguises himself as a human high schooler, only to discover he is being hunted still by his planet's enemy.

Trailer for Conor McPherson's Supernatural Film The Eclipse
I first heard about this Irish film when it showed at the Tribeca Film Festival last year and I heard great things about it. Unfortunately I never had the chance to see it, but now Magnolia is bringing The Eclipse to theaters this March. The film is a supernatural thriller about a teacher (played by CiarĂ¡n Hinds) raising two kids alone since his wife died two years earlier. Lately he has been seeing and hearing strange things late at night in his house. He isn't sure if he is simply having terrifying nightmares or if his house is haunted. This trailer looks great, I'm definitely interested in seeing it. If you're in the mood for some supernatural, enjoy.

Confirmed: Marc Webb Directing Next Three Spider-Man Films
We first heard rumors a few weeks ago that Sony was looking at bringing on 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb to take over the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Well, NY Mag's Vulture is claiming that Sony will soon officially announce that Webb will be directing the next three movies in the freshly rebooted franchise. Apparently Sony's top production executive, Amy Pascal, totally loves Webb and really wants him for this because she "thinks he'd be perfect to explore the conflict within Parker." I certainly hope that's the case, and if there's anyone I have complete faith in to deliver an awesome Spider-Man movie, it's Webb.
