Oliver Stone Interested in 'Deep Blue Good-By' with DiCaprio
Although we just heard today that Leonardo DiCaprio is in early talks to play J. Edgar Hoover in the Clint Eastwood directed biopic, another project has already had that actor attached for a while now. The Deep Blue Good-By is an adaptation of the first book in John D. MacDonald's mystery series first published in 1964 and is one of DiCaprio's many projects in development as an actor and a producer. Now Deadline and RiskyBiz (both thinking they have the "exclusive") have learned that Oliver Stone is interested in directing. This would be the second adaptation he's considering to follow Wall Street 2 with, the other being Savages.

First Look: Milla Jovovich & Ali Larter in Resident Evil: Afterlife
Screen Gems has debuted a batch of five badass new photos as a first look at Resident Evil: Afterlife on MySpace, which apparently already finished shooting late last year. Director Paul W.S. Anderson somehow got Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter to return again, and you'll see them, as well as a crazy hooded butcher guy, in the photos below. Although I'm not a really a fan of the Resident Evil, these photos are pretty damn cool. The first official trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife will also arrive online this Saturday afternoon after it debuts at WonderCon. So if you're a fan of this series (or not), then check out all of the new photos below!

Paul Greengrass is Directing That Fantastic Voyage Remake!
The lyrics to a Coolio (or David Bowie) song also titled Fantastic Voyage would've been a fun headline, but I digress. Heat Vision reports Paul Greengrass (of The Bourne Supremacy/Ultimatum and Green Zone) is moving away from the politically charged thrillers he's been enveloped in and will direct the long-gestating big budget remake of the 1966 sci-fi flick Fantastic Voyage. Produced by James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment, the film will be an updated take on the story which revolves around a team of scientists who are shrunk to atomic size and sent on a miniature submarine inside the body of a scientist to save his life.

Leaves of Grass Pushed to Summer, But That's Not a Bad Thing
Usually when you hear about a film getting pushed back, it's not a good thing. The most recent exception to this presumption is Wall Street 2, which was supposed to be released in April, but was pushed back until September after execs screened the film and realized they had a truly great sequel on their hands worthy of an awards season release. Add another exception to the rule as Tim Blake Nelson's Leaves of Grass, an indie starring double Edward Nortons, has been pushed back from its release which was only two days away. However, this is good news according to Norton who just updated his Twitter explaining the delay.

Video Interview: Clash of the Titans Director Louis Leterrier
I've been a big fan of French director Louis Leterrier ever since The Incredible Hulk, which wasn't that long ago, and I've never even seen Transporter 2. But after seeing him speak in-person at Comic-Con and seeing his version of Hulk, I became a big fan of his style and I knew I wanted to talk to him, especially after hearing that he was remaking one of my all-time favorites (the original Clash). Thankfully I got to talk with Leterrier the day after seeing his new version of Clash of the Titans (which I actually enjoyed) and here's the video from it. We cover quite a few topics, including creature design and his love for Greek mythology.

Fincher Definitely Directing Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Next
David Fincher fans - we've got news for you. The Playlist has confirmed that Fincher's next film following The Social Network will be the US remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (watch the trailer). The Swedish flick, which is only the first in a trilogy, has been getting quite a bit of buzz for just being another fantastic Swedish film and for the kind of names (like Fincher) that it has attracted here in Hollywood. On the other hand, apparently Fincher is not going to direct that Tobey Maguire chess movie Pawn Sacrifice, even though he did take a meeting but that's about it. So it'll definitely be Dragon Tattoo for Fincher next.

Kal Penn Will Return for A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas
A little while back we received word from John Cho that A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, the third installment of the stoner comedy series that all started with White Castle, was definitely on the way, and it might be filming as early as this summer for a hopeful holiday release this year. However, at the time Cho (Harold) wasn't sure if his counterpart Kal Penn (Kumar) would be returning since his job at The White House was keeping him busy. But now Deadline reports, though not necessarily definitively, that Penn will indeed return for the sequel, which shoots in summer and, get this, is being seriously considered for 3-D.

Leonardo DiCaprio Might Be Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar Hoover
We learned earlier this month that Clint Eastwood was interested in directing a J. Edgar Hoover biopic with a script by Milk writer Dustin Lance Black. Not only does Deadline confirm that Eastwood is directing the biopic, but they also report Leonardo DiCaprio is in early talks to play Hoover, the man who founded the FBI in 1935 and is responsible for putting together an elite organization tasked with investigating and preventing the most dangerous, heinous and notorious crimes. Universal made the choice to pass since they weren't up for taking another risk with a period picture, so Warner Bros is getting things moving instead.

Must Watch: Official Trailer for Stallone's The Expendables!
Lionsgate has finally debut the first official trailer for Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables starring one hell of a badass cast: Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke and Danny Trejo, too. I do think that they spoiled the two or three big cameos in this, but there's no way this could be a hit without dropping the hint that this is Arnold's first big screen appearance since 2004. But that said, this does look totally awesome, exactly as I wanted, everything I expected. I've been excited for this from the beginning and have always been asked why? Well, this is why!

WonderCon Posters: Iron Man 2's Black Widow and Kick-Ass
Although WonderCon, held in San Francisco this weekend, isn't as big as the San Diego Comic-Con, it is a great comic convention with a strong presence that draws a good crowd. WonderCon has announced that you can pick up a new Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) mini-poster for Iron Man 2 this weekend at Booth #242. You can view that sexy poster below. Additionally, HitFix has a look at the exclusive new Kick-Ass poster that features Big Daddy on it (seen above) that will be signed by Nic Cage as well - hit that link to find out how to get one of those. Both of these posters are pretty sleek, I might try to pick up one of each myself.

Seriously, Neal Moritz Wants to Remake Look Who's Talking?
Kill it with fire! That's the only response that comes to mind when I hear from Pajiba that Neal Moritz, the producer behind films like I Am Legend and the upcoming Green Hornet and Jack the Giant Killer, is now heading to the complete other end of the spectrum with a remake of Look Who's Talking. I'll be the first to admit that as a kid, I enjoyed the first film, which had Kirstie Alley, John Travolta, and a bastard child (voiced by Bruce Willis) that spouted witticisms inside his head that no one could actually hear. The project is out to writers and there's no director yet so the only thing attached to this project is complete stupidity.
