Brandon T. Jackson is Suiting Up for Big Momma's House 3
March 2, 2010
by Ethan Anderton
As there weren't enough grief and torture in the world, Martin Lawrence has agreed to a third go-round in a fat suit as Variety reports that the "comedian" is moving forward with Big Momma's House 3. But this time Lawrence will also bring along Brandon T. Jackson (seen in Tropic Thunder, Percy Jackson) as a younger cross-dressing partner as the story revolves around FBI agent Malcolm Turner and his 17-year-old nephew, Trent, who go undercover at an all-girls performing arts school after Trent witnesses a murder. Posing as Big Momma and Charmaine, they must find the murderer before he finds them. I smell an Oscar!
Apparently producers want to steer away from simply calling the film Big Momma's House 3. An easy way to do that would be not to make the film at all, but John Whitesell, who directed Big Momma's House 2, will be directing from newcomer Matthew Fogel's script. Words cannot express how angry I am that this project is even being considered over countless better original comedies that I know are circulating out there. This is a travesty. Then again, the first two movies (released in 2000 and 2006, respectively) have made $188 million combined. Now we know why they want to make another one. Does anyone actually like these movies?
