First Official Trailer for Eat, Pray, Love Starring Julia Roberts
Sony has debuted the first trailer for Eat, Pray, Love starring the charming Julia Roberts and a handful of other actors including James Franco, Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins & Viola Davis. The book's subtitle may help give you a better idea of what this is about: "One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia." This is a chic flick at it's finest, but it doesn't look that bad, to be honest. It does look a bit sappy and I can't buy Franco and Roberts being a couple, but other than that it looks quite inspirational. Also, I'm not sure why they put a soft focus over the entire movie, but oh well. Check this out!

Amanda Seyfried to Play 'The Girl Who Conned The Ivy League'
I'm one of those film fanatics who is interested in a film simply because it's title. I've haven't heard of The Girl Who Conned The Ivy League before today, but it already sounds like a project I'm going to be very excited about. Production Weekly on Twitter (via SlashFilm) is reporting that director McG (Terminator Salvation) and the lovely Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer's Body) are attached to a feature version of The Girl Who Conned The Ivy League. The project is based on the Rolling Stone article of the same name that was adapted into a feature by screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, of only Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist previously.

Watch This: The Mechanic Promo Trailer with Jason Statham
Earlier today our friends at SlashFilm found the first (unofficial) promo trailer for The Mechanic starring Jason Statham. You've probably heard about this remake of a 1970's Charles Bronson hitman movie of the same name before today, but this is the first time we've seen any actual footage from it. It was produced by Nu Image / Millennium Films and it looks pretty badass. I love seeing Jason Statham in just about anything, but paired up with Ben Foster as two hitmen? I'm totally looking forward to this! Watch out though, as this trailer isn't MPAA approved and contains sex and violence. It's also a bit low res but it's the best we've got!

Kristen Stewart Will Star in Her Mother's Bizarre Flick 'K-11'
I'm always somewhat fascinated when show business becomes the go-to career choice for several members of a family. The Baldwins being the most extreme example, I'm curious about any animosity or jealousy that may spawn when one is successful and another is not. One such family unit doesn't have to worry about that too much as BangShowbiz reports actress Kristen Stewart will star in K-11, a film written and directed by her mother, script supervisor Jules Mann-Stewart. The project is so bizarre and interesting that Stewart says, "If she called me right now and said, 'We're making the movie,' I would be really excited." What is it?

Spielberg is Shopping a Script About Jackie Kennedy Onassis
Though he hasn't decided on his next directing gig, that doesn't mean Steven Spielberg isn't a busy man as LA Times' 24 Frames is reporting that the director/producer is currently shopping around a buzzed about script that focuses on the late First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis (seen above), wife of President John F. Kennedy. The script comes from journalist, author and former "Today Show" producer Noah Oppenheim and focuses on the days immediately following the assassination of JFK from her point-of-view. Since HBO is a lead contender to buy the script, it remains to be seen if this will hit theaters or just on the television.

First Teaser Posters Unveiled for Stallone's The Expendables!
Even more new posters! Given this is ShoWest week, we expected a whole bunch of them to arrive, but one new set of posters (we haven't seen before) that I really wanted to feature are the new official teaser posters for Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables. The first one comes from IGN and is the official teaser poster that Lionsgate just debuted for the film. The second one comes from showfloor at ShoWest and is actually a bit more badass than the first one. There are whole helluvalot of guns on the first one and a gnarly, badass Stallone on the second one. I really dig the design of these and I hope everyone else likes them, too. Dig it!

Columbia Doesn't Want Ivan Reitman to Direct Ghostbusters 3
Though very little is currently known about the plot of the forthcoming Ghostbusters 3, we do know that the original 'busters will be passing the torch to a new generation of younger 'busters. Apparently this is also how Sony would like to approach the directing side of the project as Vulture reports they don't want to bring back original series director Ivan Reitman to helm the new installment, but rather would like to bring on a younger director a la the same arrangement Sony made to bring on Marc Webb for the new Spider-Man franchise. However, this kind of move could put the possibility of this sequel into serious jeopardy. Read on!

Natalie Portman & Ashton Kutcher are 'Friends with Benefits'
Because fragments of today's society are all up in arms about obscenity, there was no chance in hell we'd ever see a movie released and rated by the MPAA called Fuckbuddies, a highly praised script that appeared at #6 on the 2008 Black List. We will however see a film called Friends with Benefits, which is the new title of the Liz Meriwether scripted comedy as the news about Ghostbusters 3 from Vulture mentions that Ivan Reitman is up for directing the sex driven comedy which will star Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher as two friends in a solely sexual relationship who develop true romantic feelings for each other.

Tron Encom ID Badges Arrive, Employee Website Discovered
If you haven't been following the viral for Tron Legacy, this probably doesn't make much sense, but if you have been following, this is the next update. Last week we wrote about a really cool flash game discovered on an Arcade Aid website that, when finished, gave any Flynn Lives user the ability to register for an Encom Employee ID badge. Encom is the corporation that Flynn worked for in the original and has flourished to become a huge company in the sequel - Tron Legacy. The badges were sent out and have been arriving today and I received my own badge as well (see photo above) that links to a employee login on the Encom website.

Universal Passes on P.T. Anderson's Next, But Renner Joins?
Back in December we reported on news that writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson was finally casting Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role of his upcoming and still untitled drama about a charismatic intellectual who hatches a faith-based organization that begins to catch on in America in 1952. Apparently Universal was looking to distribute, but Deadline reports that poor box office returns last weekend on the expensive action flick Green Zone mean the $35 million budget for Anderson's film was just too pricey for them to take the risk. Yeah, Universal, keep making movies like Wolfman and you'll be rolling in the profits.

Greg Berlanti to Direct Adaptation of TV Show '77 Sunset Strip'
Last month we heard rumors that Greg Berlanti could very well be the man to helm the adaptation of DC Comics The Flash, especially after his work developing and writing Green Lantern. However, if this ever comes to fruition it most likely won't happen until after his next directing gig which Deadline has revealed will be a big screen adaptation of the classic TV series 77 Sunset Strip which followed two LA detectives, both former government secret agents Stu Bailey and Jeff Spencer (also a non-practicing attorney) as the duo worked out of a stylish office at 77 Sunset Strip, right next to Dean Martin's real-life lounge, Dino's.

First Official Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Teaser Poster Found
Although we still haven't seen a trailer or anything else marketing-wise from Universal (besides these two photos) for Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, we finally have a real poster for this movie. Found on display at ShoWest is this new teaser poster, seen below, that shows Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim rockin' it out on the bass. It's a pretty simple but sleek design and I like it, even though I wish we had more than this by now, but oh well. The best part is the tagline which says: "An epic of epic epicness." So epic! Anyway, check out a photo of the poster below from ComingSoon and expect the high res to hit soon, too.
