Chloe Moretz on 'Let Me In' and Its 'Unglamorous' Vampires

Chloe Moretz

Following in the footsteps of other child actors attacking mature subject matter, 13 year-old Chloe Moretz is awaiting the release of her turn as Hit Girl in the comic book adaptation Kick-Ass, and then next she'll be seen in Matt Reeves' Let Me In, the remake of the highly praised Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In. As we've already seen her as Joseph Gordon-Levitt's wise-beyond-her-years younger sister in 500 Days of Summer, we know she's got a knack for adult-oriented material, and recently she sat down with Movieline to discuss her challenging career and how Let Me In approaches vampires. You've gotta hear what she said.

Clint Eastwood May Be Directing That J. Edgar Hoover Biopic

Clint Eastwood

Remember that J. Edgar Hoover biopic that we wrote about last week? Well, Entertainment Weekly and THR have both confirmed that legendary actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood is interested in directing the project. Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment are developing the film, however Eastwood will start working with Oscar winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk) on the script, since he typically gets that intimately involved in his projects. The movie will follow Hoover's career, from the founding of the FBI in 1935 to his long tenure as director of the crime-fighting organization that lasted until 1972 when he died.

New Tron Legacy Billboard and Disney World Tron Monorails

Tron Legacy Billboard

As we were expecting, Disney has recently replaced the Tron Legacy billboard on display in Los Angeles with this newest photo (seen below in high res). This is the third photo we've seen them put up following the original debut in December. Disney bought a prominently placed billboard located in Century City for a full 12 month run that will be displaying Tron images up until its release this December (the second photo was awesome, too). Considering this is the photo that's following up the debut of the trailer, this is pretty cool to see. I totally love the imagery they've made for Tron Legacy. Plus there's more below - so keep on reading!

Fox Delays Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Until September

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

20th Century Fox has announced (via THR) that they are pushing back the release of Oliver Stone's Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps from its originally scheduled April 23rd release date back to September 24th later this year. We've already featured a few great trailers for this movie, but they don't want it out in April anymore. I always thought that was a very early release anyway, I didn't think Stone would even finish it that quickly. Fox has also moved up the release of the Tom Cruise / Cameron Diaz action comedy Knight & Day from July 2nd to the earlier June 25th release date. Some solid and smart date changes from Fox.

Final Poster for Disney's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Prince of Persia

Along with the premiere of the final trailer last week, Disney has also debuted what looks to be the final official poster for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time over on UGO today. Last July we got to see the first two magazine-like posters for Prince of Persia, which seemed a bit too stylish for the general public to appreciate. But now they've released a typical action-movie poster with cheesier poses from the main actors. To be honest, it's not that impressive of a poster, it's just kind of bland and boring. Oh and in related news, Prince of Persia will also be showing in IMAX worldwide this summer (via Collider). Check it out below!

Terence Stamp and John Hurt Lead 'Ultramarines' Voice Cast

Terence Stamp / John Hurt - Ultramarines

Although this upcoming animated Warhammer 40,000 movie is going straight-to-DVD, I'm a big fan of the games and promised to keep everyone updated, so here's the latest news. Ultramarines is a sci-fi thriller that will use CGI and state-of-the-art animation production techniques. The official blog has just announced the voice cast for the movie which will be lead by Terence Stamp and John Hurt and also include Sean Pertwee, Steven Waddington, Donald Sumpter and Johnny Harris. "We're delighted that such a great cast, with so much talent, is on board. Together they bring the highest calibre of performance to Ultramarines."

80's Teen Idol Corey Haim Has Passed Away at Age 38 Today

Corey Haim

Sad news struck early this morning as CNN reports 80's teen heartthrob, Corey Haim, passed away at 38 years-old. The star of such favorite films as Lucas, License to Drive and The Lost Boys apparently died of an accidental drug overdose, but officially the cause of death at this time is unknown. Apparently he had flu-like symptoms and his mother had given him various over-the-counter medications before his condition became fatal. Apparently a combination of medications, including one he was taking as part of a sobriety program, could have been the culprit, but once again, no official cause of death has been determined yet.

Director Kevin Macdonald Needs to Solve a 'Murder Mystery'

Kevin Macdonald

Despite how good the British mini-series, which inspired director Kevin Macdonald's last film State of Play, may actually be (I haven't seen it), I still enjoyed the film version quite a bit. Though not as powerful, it plays like a contemporary All the President's Men and I had no qualms other than Ben Affleck's mediocre performance. So I'm pleased to now hear that Macdonald will be bringing his talents to a somewhat generic project as Variety reports he will direct Murder Mystery, the story an American couple honeymooning in Europe who are implicated when they witness a murder and wind up embroiled in international intrigue.

Tarantino Wants to Make a Harvey Weinstein Documentary?

Quentin Tarantino / Harvey Weinstein

I don't think I've ever thought that I'd actually want to see a documentary about power producer Harvey Weinstein, but maybe it could be interesting after all. In a NY Times article from last week (via SlashFilm) about another different Harvey Weinstein documentary, the director of that film told them that "Quentin Tarantino was considering a competing project that would chronicle Mr. Weinstein's professional life." The doc that the article is actually about will apparently be a no-holds-barred look at Weinstein that will be called Unauthorized: The Harvey Weinstein Project, but I'm much more interested in Tarantino's project.

Robert DeNiro is Coach Vince Lombardi in ESPN Films Biopic

Vince Lombardi / Robert DeNiro

While he has previously taken on the real-life personas of people like Al Capone and Jake La Motta, actor Robert De Niro hasn't been dabbling in historical territory too much in recent years, at least, until now. Not only has he been confirmed to be playing Alabama Governor George Wallace in Lee Daniels' Selma, but now THR's Risky Biz blog reports that he will play iconic coach Vince Lombardi in the ESPN Films biopic simply titled Lombardi, to be written by Oscar winning Forrest Gump writer Eric Roth. The film will focus on the 8 or so years that Lombardi rebuilt the Green Bay Packers into gridiron NFL champions.

Krasinski Not the Top Choice for Captain America - Who Is?

John Krasinski as Captain America - HijiNKS ENSUE

Just over a week ago we heard about the short list of contenders to hold the shield and wear the stars and stripes of The First Avenger: Captain America. Honestly, the list wasn't that impressive with barely any of the desired talent looking old enough to eventually lead The Avengers or having an acting resume to back them up. Earlier today came news from Fox 411 that Marvel's first choice, according to insiders at the company, was John Krasinksi, but now it looks like that scoop isn't true as Deadline reports only Mike Vogel and Garrett Hedlund are in serious contention with a few other new names thrown into the mix.

Viggo Mortensen Reteaming with Cronenberg in Talking Cure

David Cronenberg / Viggo Mortensen

Remember last month when we heard the recent Academy Award winning Christoph Waltz was replacing Sean Penn in Francis Lawrence's adaptation of Water for Elephants? Well, his taking on that role meant that he had to give one up, and Deadline reports that it was his forthcoming turn as the famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud in David Cronenberg's The Talking Cure that has been swapped out for another actor. Waltz was swiftly replaced with the comparable talent of Viggo Mortensen in the story, based on a play by Christopher Hampton, about the conflict between Freud and his pupil Jung, played by Michael Fassbender.
