First Look: The Adjustment Bureau's Matt Damon & Emily Blunt

The Adjustment Bureau

Please don't screw this up, I don't want another Next, that movie was awful! The first two photos from The Adjustment Bureau appeared online today (via Collider). The Adjustment Bureau co-stars Matt Damon & Emily Blunt (pictured) as well as Anthony Mackie, Terence Stamp and John Slattery. Based on a Philip K. Dick short story, the film is about an affair between a politician and a ballerina (Damon and Blunt) that becomes affected by mysterious forces (a group called the Adjustment Bureau) who are keeping the lovers apart. The photos aren't much (there's nothing more to the one above), but it is our first look at the movie.

Casting Tidbits: Ashley Greene, Stephen Graham, Emile Hirsch

Ashley Greene, Stephen Graham, Emile Hirsch

I asked for a car, I got Casting Tidbits. How's that for being born under a bad sign? First, RiskyBiz reports that the beautiful Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) has been cast in the Jim Field Smith directed indie comedy Butter, the story of a young orphan girl who, after being adopted by a Midwestern family, discovers she has an incredible talent for butter-carving. She eventually finds herself up against the ambitious wife of the retired reigning champ in a town's annual butter-sculpting contest. Joining a newly cast Rob Corddry along with Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner, Greene will play a rebellious teenager named Kaitlen Pickler.

Watch This: Awesome New Full-Length Trailer for Ong Bak 3

Ong Bak 3 Trailer

A brand new full-length trailer for Tony Jaa's Ong Bak 3 showed up on YouTube today (via SlashFilm) for those who are fans of this franchise that began as a cult hit back in 2003. We also featured an early teaser trailer for this movie back in January, but this new trailer looks a lot better than that first one. It starts out very brutal and violent (so watch out) but then gets back to the awesome fighting we all want to see. There are no subtitles but you can still get a good idea for what's going on. Although I have no clue who all these crazy supernatural people are or what they're doing, but it still looks badass. Check out the trailer below!

New Iron Man 2 Viral Updates: Fans Buzzing About AccuTech

Accutech

We've been keeping tabs on the Iron Man 2 mini-viral launch this past week, but nothing too exciting has really happened (or so I claim). Earlier in the week, SlashFilm found a website for a Stark Industries spin-off company (aka subsidiary) called AccuTech that has somehow become the primary focus of the entire viral. Packages started showing up with boxes of cheesy AccuTech swag, but then everyone started picking up on the logo, which seemed to be a little too similar to The Avengers logo which also consists of an "A" inside of a circle as well. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but that seems to be the biggest buzz related to this viral.

Official Trailer for Jesse Eisenberg Drug Drama Holy Rollers

Holy Rollers Trailer

First Independent Pictures has debuted the official trailer for Kevin Asch's Holy Rollers starring Justin Bartha and Jesse Eisenberg as two Hasidic Jews who helped bring millions of ecstasy pills in from Europe. As good as this trailer may look, this is not a good film, as I saw it at Sundance and it's pretty boring. I was expecting a comedy going in, but it was a straight drama with no direction, and it's all over the place with its story. Sadly, Holy Rollers is one of those Sundance films you don't want to admit you saw because it was so bad. I'm featuring this anyway in case a few of you are interested, but I don't suggest seeing this in theaters.

Vera Farmiga's Directorial Debut Will Be With Higher Ground

Vera Farmiga / This Dark World

Interesting tidbit of news today. Production Weekly reports (via IONCinema) that Oscar nominated actress Vera Farmiga will step behind the camera for her directorial debut on a film called Higher Ground. The project is an adaptation of Carolyn Briggs' memoir This Dark World, which is a look at the nature of faith and a story of one woman's struggle to find her place in the world. Before you shrug this off as another religious film, the story is actually about a young mother who begins to question the "religious dogma" that she has embraced all of her life - another anti-faith film to join with Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master.

Todd Lincoln Helming a Danger Girl Adaptation at Relativity

Danger Girl Comics

You can add this to the ever-growing pile of comic book adaptations in the works. Hero Complex has a new interview/announcement today revealing that director Todd Lincoln (who's feature debut is an upcoming horror film called The Apparition) will be helming an adaptation of J. Scott Campbell's popular comic series Danger Girl published by Wildstorm. The film is currently in the works at Relativity Media with producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter, but not too far along. "We are just getting into it. Our collective hope is to have a big announcement in time for this year’s Comic-Con." Well okay, but what can he tell us about this?

Rumor: Robert Pattinson Might Play Kurt Cobain in a Biopic

Robert Pattinson / Kurt Cobain

This isn't official by any means, so don't start getting angry that Edward from those damn Twilight movies will be playing Nirvana's legendary singer and guitarist. RadarOnline is reporting a rather unreliable rumor that 23-year-old actor Robert Pattinson might indeed be playing Kurt Cobain in a biopic in development at Universal called All Apologies. Unfortunately, the site references quotes from the UK Sun, who we all know is the absolute worst bullshit gossip rag in the world, and can't be trusted. They say that Pattinson has been "in talks" with Cobain's widow Courtney Love, who has picked Pattinson as her top choice. Oh really?

Must Watch: Teaser Trailer for Adam McKay's The Other Guys

The Other Guys Teaser Trailer

After giving us a glimpse of the kind of comedy we'll see in this via a motion poster a few weeks back, Sony has finally debuted the first teaser trailer (that runs a full 2-1/2 minutes) for The Other Guys starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as a pair of misfit cops. The best part about this (besides Ferrell and Wahlberg being a hilarious comedic duo) is seeing Sam Jackson and Dwayne Johnson play the real badass cops in this. I know action comedies are the new trend (MacGruber, Knight & Day) but this is the one comedy that I am truly looking forward to seeing this summer. Nice jab at the end towards Hollywood, too. Have fun & enjoy!

Chris Nolan's Inception Rumored to Be Premiering in Cannes

Inception

We'll be providing some early coverage of the Cannes Film Festival leading up to the fest in May since I will be attending again this year. Anyway, I first saw mention that Christopher Nolan's Inception might be headed to Cannes over on The Playlist earlier this week, but I didn't actually think it was anything more than a rumor until Anne Thompson tweeted this reply last night: "Word is Inception is a real Cannes possibility." So maybe it is more than just a rumor? The Playlist says that they've heard that Inception "may unspool in a work-in-progress screening at the festival," but that was only a rumor. Now I really can't wait for Cannes.

Neal H. Moritz's Future Includes The Boys & Escape From NY

Neal H. Moritz

Another day, another remake, right? Neal H. Moritz (seen above) is one of those producers who attaches himself to about 20 or 30 upcoming projects, everything from Fast & Furious to Goosebumps to Cliffhanger to Doc Savage to Highlander. He's currently in post-production on Battle: Los Angeles and Green Hornet and is also preparing both Fast Five to start in July along with Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Killer - he's a very busy man. Our good friend Steve of Collider recently interviewed Moritz and has been posting huge updates on all of his projects. This time he gives us a full rundown on what his next 11 projects are in order.

First Look: Concept Art from Carl Erik Rinsch's Project 'Small'

Carl Erik Rinsch's Small

Yesterday we featured an amazing short film from commercials director Carl Erik Rinsch called The Gift (watch it here) that had a sci-fi story featuring robots set in a futuristic Russia. Later in the day, Heat Vision reported that a bidding war between Warner Bros and Fox had broken out over rights to a feature version of the short. SlashFilm is saying that is the case, but claiming that the short was actually created as a prologue to a feature that Rinsch has already written and packaged called Small. The go along with all of that news, they got their hands on two awesome concept art photos from that project, which already looks incredible.
