Check These Out: Empire's Covers for A-Team & Expendables
We usually feature the occasional Empire magazine cover because they often score some awesome exclusive photos for their covers, but they haven't had anything great in a while (until today!). Empire has debuted two brand new covers for their newest issue - one is for The A-Team, the other is for The Expendables, as part of their "Ultimate Action Special." Damnit, why don't I have a subscription to this magazine yet? (Oh right, because they're from the UK, and it costs a lot!) We've already seen trailers for both The A-Team and The Expendables, so we already know what to expect for both, but these are still cool to see. Check 'em out!

Must Watch: Brand New Trailer for 'The Complete Metropolis'
A few months ago, we brought you word that a full restored version of Fritz Lang's 1927 sci-fi masterpiece Metropolis would actually be hitting theaters this summer before arriving on glorious Blu-Ray at the end of the year. In honor of this restored re-released, Kino Int. has put together a trailer for what they're calling The Complete Metropolis, a new 147-minute version of the movie. There's nothing like seeing a trailer in high def for a movie from 1927 that just so happens to be one of the greatest movies of all-time. I encourage anyone, even those who haven't seen Metropolis, to watch this trailer and see the movie itself this summer.

Clive Owen Joins Jason Statham in New Film 'The Killer Elite'
Although we already have a team-up action movie, featuring Jason Statham, hitting theaters this fall (The Expendables), it's missing another great action star that will now be teaming up with Statham in yet another project. Variety says that Clive Owen has joined the cast of a project called The Killer Elite about a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by Statham's character, a former Navy Seal. Owen will take on the role of a senior field operative and member of a clandestine group protecting former special forces soldiers and their families. Shooting starts next month down in Australia.

Fox Searchlight Adapting Bret Easton Ellis' Imperial Bedrooms?
Although he's a prolific writer who has had great success in movies before, Bret Easton Ellis hasn't been doing great in Hollywood recently. The last film based on one of his books was The Informers and everyone, I mean everyone, hated that film. Then again, maybe it's just a matter of understanding the material. Well, Anne Thompson of indieWIRE reports that Ellis himself said at a recent appearance that his seventh novel Imperial Bedrooms might be in the works at Fox Searchlight (they say "Ellis speculated," so I don't know if they've fully signed yet). An adaptation of Ellis' Lunar Park is in the works as well, but without a director.

New Line Starts Developing Another Final Destination Movie
While I was at the Warner Bros presentation at ShoWest a month ago, they said that The Final Destination wasn't actually the final movie in that series and that a fifth one was in the works, but since I have no care or concern for this damn franchise, I didn't mention it at the time. Heat Vision has announced that New Line / Warner Bros is officially developing another sequel, tentatively titled Final Destination 5, and has hired writer Eric Heisserer (who wrote The Thing prequel and worked on the Nightmare on Elm Street remake) to pen the script. While the plot is being kept under wraps, one new scene is said to involve laser-eye surgery.

Interview: Director of Warner Bros' The Losers - Sylvain White
A few weeks ago, I was able to sit down for an interview with Sylvain White, the director of Warner Bros' The Losers, which hit theaters this weekend. Although his first film, Stomp the Yard, was not my cup of tea, I've actually been looking forward to talking with White ever since he got attached to The Losers nearly two years ago. Thankfully, this turned out great and White was a delight to talk with. It quickly becomes a fascinating interview as we chat about his inspiration and his career and obviously his work on The Losers. We also get into a little bit of spoiler talk at the end. Other than that, it's a great interview, so check it out!

Edgar Wright Could Make 'Ant-Man' Next, After The Avengers
With so much talk of comic book movies these days, and with Iron Man 2 coming up very soon, it's time to get a status update on Marvel's Ant-Man, which Edgar Wright had been developing until he started Scott Pilgrim. Our friends at SuperHeroHype talked with Marvel's Kevin Feige recently and asked him about the Ant-Man movie. "Edgar was in L.A. last week, we sat down, and we started working on a calendar of when to get him back into it once he finishes promoting Scott Pilgrim, so I think towards the end of this year, early next year we'd start looking at early prep for that, but certainly for a release date after The Avengers."

Indie Trailer Sunday: Gilles Marchand's Black Heaven Trailer
Just like last weekend, today I wanted to feature another new indie trailer for a film that's premiering at the Cannes Film Festival next month. The movie is called Black Heaven, or L'autre Monde in French, and is directed by French filmmaker Gilles Marchand of Who Killed Bambi?. It's kind of a techno-thriller/drama about a couple who pick up a lost cellphone that leads them to find an unconscious girl who is trying to kill herself. Later, the main guy gets pulled into some video game world called Black Heaven (or Black Hole) and is convinced in-game to commit suicide himself. Kind of a weird premise, but it still looks very interesting.

Watch the Final 'In Memory Of Jacques d'Azur' Cannes Video
A few weeks back, we introduced you to Jacques d'Azur, the French bon-vivant who is offering his lavish weekend at the Cannes Film Festival this year in a contest that Stella Artois is running. As today is the last day to enter the contest and win a trip to Cannes, we have one more final video entitled "In Memory Of Jacques d'Azur, Legend and King of Cannes, 1939-2010" to share with all of you. Again, if you want to win the contest, all you need to do is visit StellaArtois.com, connect the contest with your Facebook account, and then "add your name to the will." WB's Nightmare Remake Was Almost 3D, But Director Resisted
I feel like I've been writing nothing but news about 3D over the last few days. Even though a backlash seems to be growing, Hollywood is still exploding with 3D fever, converting more and more movies into 3D as fast as they can. On the flip-side, one movie that we won't (thankfully) see in 3D this year is Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street remake, due out next weekend. The reason? Director Samuel Bayer, who is making his feature directorial debut on this after working in commercials, resisted when the studio tried to convert it. "We pushed back," Bayer told the LA Times (discovered via SlashFilm) in a new article about 3D.

Ridley Scott Confirms: Both Alien Prequels Will Be Shot in 3D
Just yesterday, we reported a big story where Ridley Scott finally explained what the concept and story of the Alien prequel that he's currently developing would be. Yesterday was also the same day when endless amounts of 3D news hit (and it looks like Sherlock Holmes 2 is joining in on the 3D fun, too) and although we already knew that the prequel would be in 3D, Scott confirms that they're actually going to shoot it from the start in 3D. "Absolutely" was the answer he gave when asked if that's what they would be doing. In fact, they're going to be using more advanced cameras then the ones James Cameron used on Avatar. Read on!

Watch This: Badass Early Hobo With a Shotgun Footage Hits!
"As promised, here’s a little something to get your juices flowing." Although it was only announced six days ago that Rutger Hauer would star in the feature version of Jason Eisener's Hobo With a Shotgun, and although they've only been shooting for about a week, a short video featuring a smattering of badass footage and our very first look at Hauer as the Hobo has hit the web. This is official, as it comes from the Hobo With a Shotgun blog at hobowithashotgun.com (via our friends from HeyUGuys.co.uk) where their crew has been tracking some of the shooting so far. Apparently they've already run out of (fake) blood only three days in!
