Viral Video for the Lots-o-Huggin' Bear from Pixar's Toy Story 3

Lotso!

Pixar has always done an exceptional job marketing their movies, but with Toy Story 3 they've continued to top themselves, most likely because these are all the same characters they began with in 1995. Upcoming Pixar has discovered this new viral video for the movie (that was actually created by Pixar themselves) that's a vintage commercial (circa 1983) for the Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, better known as Lotso, who plays a pivotal role in the sequel. This video is just too damn adorable not to feature, so check it out below. The fact that Lotso originated in the 80's is actually part of the story, as he's (one of) the oldest toys in the movie. Enjoy!

"For you sir, always." Thanks for the help, Jarvis! Augmented reality seems to be all the rage now with viral marketing and online marketing campaigns. Paramount UK has launched a new augment reality web app for Iron Man 2, created by Rubber Republic, that allows fans to envision themselves in either the Iron Man or War Machine mask (seen above) or using the Iron Man or War Machine HUD (aka the heads-up-display) seen below and in the movie. It's a bit cheesy, but pretty nifty to check out. Just visit: iamironman2.com. "Welcome sir, how are you feeling today? You are scheduled for a HUD calibration test and mask fitting."

Must Watch: Final Trailer for Shyamalan's The Last Airbender

The Last Airbender Trailer

Paramount has debuted the final full-length trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender today on Apple. Noah Ringer stars as Aang and he's joined by Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Nicola Peltz, Shaun Toub, and many others. This is such an epic and unbelievably awesome trailer. I can't frickin' wait to see this now! The effects look fantastic and the story looks great, too. It looks like that 3D announcement yesterday was just in time, as they also snuck in a big "in 3D" bit of text at the end. I'd still like to see this in 2D first. Even if you've never heard of the TV series before, you'll probably love this trailer, so definitely check it out!

Paramount Renews Their Option on a World War Z Adaptation

World War Z

Although there hasn't been any forward progress (as far as we know) in the last six months on Paramount's adaptation of World War Z, Variety recently confirmed that the studio has renewed their option to adapt Max Brook's best-selling book. An adaptation was originally being developed by J. Michael Straczynski a few years ago, then Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster got attached in 2008, but has shifted the project to the backburner recently. Our last update on this was last July, when it was discovered that Matthew Michael Carnahan had been brought on to re-write Straczynski's script. We've heard nothing about this since then.

Sacha Baron Cohen's New 'Goat' Project Lands at Paramount

Sacha Baron Cohen

This is definitely one of the oddest Hollywood stories I've heard recently. Apparently Paramount sent live goats to Sacha Baron Cohen and the offices of his talent agency yesterday in hopes of convincing them to let them pick up the new project that Cohen's shopping around. Deadline has a lowdown on the incident and some info on the project. Although they don't mention a title, it's a comedy where Cohen plays two different original characters we've never seen before: a goat herder and a deposed foreign dictator who gets lost in the United States. To add some more intrigue, it's "in the spirit of Coming To America meets Trading Places."

Ridley Scott Finally Reveals Details on His New Alien Prequel

Alien

Although we've heard a few bits and pieces about Ridley Scott's return to sci-fi (and space) by way of a new Alien prequel, we still don't know much about. However, it was inevitable that one day the details would all be revealed, and today's the day. MTV talked with Ridley Scott recently and got some good updates out of him about the status and what to expect. "It's a work in progress, but we're not dreaming it up anymore. We know what the story is. We're now actually trying to improve the three acts and make the characters better... But we're actually making the film. There's no question about it, we're going to make the film." Read on!

First Look: Saoirse Ronan as an Assassin in Joe Wright's Hanna

Saoirse Ronan

Coming off of Kick-Ass from last weekend, I'm pretty sure audiences have warmed up to seeing a young girl kick ass and steal the show from the real lead, which is probably why director Joe Wright decided to make Hanna, which is his new movie about a young teenage assassin. The lovely and extremely talented Saoirse Ronan plays Hanna, a 14-year-old Eastern European girl (Ronan) raised by her father to be a cold-blooded killing machine. USA Today has our very first look at a new photo from the movie and our first look at how Ronan will look (with blonde hair this time?) as the assassin Hanna. I already want to see more from this!

Monsters Inc. Sequel Confirmed, New Bear and the Bow Title

Monsters Inc.

Though the rumor mill has been pushing out talk of a sequel for awhile, there hasn't been any official news until now, as Variety reports that Pixar is indeed planning a sequel to their 2001 hit film Monsters Inc. with a release date of November 16th, 2012. While Variety says this will be the second Pixar property to get the sequel treatment, apparently they forgot that Cars 2 is set for release next summer. So this will be the third franchise for Disney/Pixar, but no director is attached to the sequel yet, and we already know that original director Pete Docter will not return. Read on for a bit of news on Pixar's The Bear and the Bow too!

Casting Tidbits: Greta Gerwig, Gary Oldman & Kristen Stewart

Greta Gerwig, Gary Oldman, Kristen Stewart

Doc, are you telling me you built a time machine out of Casting Tidbits? First up, mumblecore fave Greta Gerwig has slowly but surely gotten more exposure to wider audiences from The House of the Devil to her appearance opposite Ben Stiller in Greenberg. Now the actress will be given a big push into the mainstream as Variety reports she's joined the cast of Ivan Reitman's sex comedy Friends with Benefits with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Also joining this is Kevin Kline, Ophelia Lovibond and Ben Lawson. Gerwig plays Portman's brainy friend who's the first notice that Kutcher has become smitten with her friend.
