What is Super 8? Details on J.J. Abrams' Secret Trailer Emerge
It begins. Are you ready for this? If you want to wait to hear details about J.J. Abrams' new secret sci-fi project Super 8 until everyone sees this trailer in front of Iron Man 2 tomorrow night, then stop reading. Otherwise (and for everyone who has seen the trailer), it's time to begin speculating, because it's Cloverfield all over again as details have emerged on what his secret new trailer shows and it's creepy, it's awesome, and it's still a mystery. I absolutely love this kind of stuff and I'm so excited to get into this again. I can't believe Abrams and Steven Spielberg could pull off something like this again, but bring it on. So what is Super 8?

Toby Jones Cast as the Villain Arnim Zola in Captain America
The cast just keeps getting sweeter for Captain America: The First Avenger. Though some of you may not be too psyched about Chris Evans playing the patriotic shield wielding superhero, you cannot deny that Hugo Weaving as Red Skull is some inspired casting. Now it looks like the comic book movie has picked up another great actor for a villainous role as Heat Vision reports Toby Jones (Infamous, The Mist) will play diabolical scientist Arnim Zola, a genetic engineer who created clones and various other monstrosities for Hitler. He also captured his own mental self, inserting it into a robot (as seen above), and survived the war.

Third prize is you're fired. For out first tidbit of casting, Deadline reports rising star Greta Gerwig has landed the lead female role in the Russell Brand led remake of the classic 1981 comedy Arthur. She'll play the charismatic shoplifter who tempts a lovable drunk to take a chance on a woman who makes him feel alive. Gerwig is on the verge of a breakthrough, and starring in this comedy with Brand and Ivan Reitman's upcoming sex comedy, can't hurt.

Great Photos of Legacy Effects' Real Iron Man 2 Suits of Armor
The real Iron Man 2 armor? Yes, I mean the actual suits and armor units that Legacy Effects, the effects company started by Stan Winston, built for the production to use in Iron Man 2. As in, these are the real bad boys that are working pieces of machinery, maybe not with all the guns and repulsor beams and stuff, but at least they're visually impressive. Our friends at Making Of have a little photo tour of these glorious suits of armor and I've featured a few of my favorites below (the rest are on their site). As a last-minute bit of kick-ass hype for Iron Man 2, I hope they get you in the mood for some Marvel madness this weekend!

Twisted, Trippy New Poster for Chris Nolan's Inception Hits!
This marketing just gets better and better every single day. Yahoo has debuted another new poster for Chris Nolan's Inception that is easily the best poster yet. This is unquestionably inspired by MC Escher's famous Relativity painting, but with a Christopher Nolan twist to it, and I fuckin' love it (apologies, but this poster deserves an expletive). As far as I know, there is a new Inception trailer playing in front of Iron Man 2 this weekend (but I haven't heard any confirmation yet?). We've seen many different posters for Inception so far, but they just keep getting better every time. I wonder if this is the last one or if we'll see maybe a few more?

Planet of the Apes Prequel Release Date & More Release News
The biggest news today is that 20th Century Fox has officially announced details on their upcoming Planet of the Apes prequel, tentatively titled Rise of the Apes, which will start shooting this summer. Fox has also set Rise for release on June 24th, 2011 next summer. In addition to confirming that The Escapist director Rupert Wyatt will be directing from a script written by Amanda Silver & Rick Jaffa (both of The Relic), Fox announces that Weta Digital (who did the VFX on Avatar) will render, for the first time ever in this series, photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors. A few other studios have announced major release dates.

Kristen Stewart Going 'On the Road' for Kerouac Adaptation
In the midst of all the craziness surrounding the Twilight Saga, Kristen Stewart still found some time to take on a more grounded role in the rock music biopic The Runaways. Now it looks like she'll be doing the same with a role miles away from sparkly vampires as Variety says that she has signed on to star in Walter Salles' (The Motorcycle Diaries) forthcoming adaptation of On the Road, Jack Kerouac's 1957 novel, which tells the story through Sal Paradise, an autobiographical character, who sets off on a cross country journey thereby expressing the restless energy and desire for freedom that makes people rush out to see the world.

Check These Out: Four Badass New A-Team Character Spots
Oh hell yes! I've been waiting to see D9's Sharlto Copley actually talking in The A-Team as Capt. 'Howling Mad' Murdock, as most of the trailers haven't spent much time on him at all, but now we finally get see a bit of Sharlto at his finest (maybe?). Fox has debuted four new character focused TV spots for The A-Team over on Yahoo, one for each of the four team members. "They are the best, and they specialize in the ridiculous!" I really think Sharlto and Jackson are going to steal the show in this, their TV spots and their characters are definitely the best of the group. This will be such an awesome action movie to enjoy this summer. Have fun!

Space Paranoids Online Fully Playable Tron Viral Game is Out
It all started in 1982 and now Kevin Flynn's Space Paranoids game is here today, fully playable online, courtesy of the viral marketing for Tron Legacy. We've been watching the countdown clock since last week and now the fictional Encom (I wish they were real) has launched a completely playable badass version of Space Paranoids, the game which oh so much of the Tron world is based on. Basically, you drive around in a little tank killing recognizers and other enemies until you beat each level. It's a lot of fun and a great way to kick back and pass the time all day long. I think there are secrets hidden on every level, but I can't find any.

Kristen Wiig Options 'Clown Girl' Book to Both Write & Star In
Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig seems to be blazing her own trail by using her own money to option the rights to a novel called Clown Girl written by Monica Drake. Deadline reports that Wiig will adapt the book into a feature script and probably play the lead character of Nita, a "clown in crisis" who works street fairs as Sniffles the Clown. She used to be with her "dream man" but he used her to finance his attendance at clown college and ran off, so she's barely surviving in "Baloneytown" and trying to resist the urge to join the "lucrative prostitution trade involving clown fetishists." Wow this seems incredibly dark and very ambitious.

More New Posters & Photos for The Last Airbender and More
Four Nations, One Destiny. Paramount is on to their final marketing push for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender even though it doesn't hit theaters until early July. They released at least one new photo (seen above) of Dev Patel as the Prince of the Fire Nation - Zuko. Two more new "final" posters have been released (one via Empire, other via SlashFilm) to compliment those two character posters from earlier in the week. And for those interested, there's a really cool behind-the-scenes featurette found on Embassy Suites' Last Airbender website that talks about shooting on location in Iceland. And I'm still so excited to see this!
